🌟 Technology is the new oil in this fascinating world, and I'm grateful to the Federal Government for making it accessible! Hello, everyone! My name is Basheeroh A Adefila, a Year 4 student at Obafemi Awolowo University. As some of you may know, my university recently granted us a four-month break. I didn’t want to spend this time idle, so I sought out an opportunity to grow my skills—and I was thrilled to join a 12-week data analysis training program at 3MTT Nigeria. Now, 10 weeks in, I can confidently say that this journey has been both transformative and empowering. I've gained valuable skills in data analysis and visualization and explored how data can drive real-world solutions. I’m incredibly grateful to 3MTT for this fantastic opportunity and to our community manager Lukman Adeoti for constantly encouraging us to push our limits. A special thanks to my wonderful tutors and mentors, Abayomi Abiodun,Elizabeth Ogunsakin, Qazeem Anuoluwapo for their guidance and support. ✨ Stay tuned for more updates on my progress in the final weeks of this program and my ongoing journey in data analysis! 🚀 #DataAnalytics #LearningJourney #Grateful #3MTT #OAU #GrowthMindset #Technology#Flexworking

Earlier today, together with the Google team led by Matt Brittin President, EMEA Business & Operations, we announced a N2.8 billion commitment from Google to support our ministry’s efforts at accelerating growth in Nigeria’s digital economy. This significant commitment, which is in alignment with our Strategic Blueprint, will be directed towards the following initiatives: 1. DeepTech Ready Upskilling Programme: A training programme which will operate within the framework of our 3MTT Nigeria initiative to empower 20,000 Nigerians with advanced technical skills in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. 2. Experience AI Programme: Co-developed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation and Google DeepMind to introduce young people aged 11-14 to the fundamentals of AI. Google will provide resources and training to 25,000 educators to reach and inspire 125,000 learners across Nigeria. 3. Apolitical Government AI Campus Programme: A virtual platform providing government officials and policymakers with access to resources and training on AI governance and application. Google will empower 100 leadership-level and 1,000 practitioner-level public servants to effectively utilise AI in their roles. 4. N100million AI Fund: A joint effort between NCAIR Nigeria and Google announced a few weeks back to award N10million each to promising Nigerian AI startups. The 10 beneficiaries, who have since been selected, will also gain access to Google's AI tools and resources, including up to $3.5million in Google Cloud Credits, mentorship from Google engineers, and technical support from NCAIR. I appreciate the entire Google team for betting big on our technology ecosystem and their continued support. I look forward to building on our partnership as we continue on our path of Digital Transformation in Nigeria. #NigerianExcellence

As I write this article, one thing was consistently on my mind and that is the question of if i am to pay, how much would this 3MTT Nigeria program cost me? This has been one of the best decions I made this year and a massive thank you to the Honourable Minister Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani for the vision and for everyone who have ensured the program continues to fulfil it's mission, objectives and goals. To Francis Sani O. for the amazing work you do behind the scene with the team and to my Community Manager , Victoria Ndu who has been super amazing and ensuring we all get the best out of the program. This is me saying cheers to the many accomplishments that lies ahead as a fellow of the program and as a crusader - one who will not stop sharing the good news (The 3MTT)
