This list features women from 5 African regions across 16 countries who have been evaluated based on the influence of their role, and their impact, including giveback initiatives both within and outside their careers, documented thought leadership, and career achievements. The breakdown of the representation from the different African regions is West Africa (60), East Africa (18), Southern Africa (15), Central Africa (1), and North Africa (6). The list which was compiled initially via open nominations was reviewed by an independent advisory panel of judges comprising Dr. Naike Moshi, Global Talent Acquisition Director at CVPEOPLE Tanzania and Founder of WIMA (Women in Management Africa); Dr. Tewa Onasanya Dist. Fellow, ILMMD, Founder/CEO of Exquisite Magazine Services Ltd; Colleen Larsen, Chief Executive of Business Engage; Funke Amobi Chartered CCIPD, FCIPD, FCIPM, Deputy Head of Operations for StanbicIBTC Bank; Yemi Faseun, Chief Talent Officer at YF Talent Partners; and Osayi Alile, Chief Executive Officer at Aspire Coronation Trust Foundation who evaluated each nomination based on 4 distinct criteria: ✨Excellence in leadership and performance ✨Personal accomplishments (in the corporate world) ✨Commitment to sharing knowledge and ✨ Commitment to inspiring inclusion This recognition also serves the IWD 2024 campaign theme #InspireInclusion as 9to5chick seeks to celebrate women who are committed to inspiring inclusion, and have actively promoted an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and included regardless of gender, race, age, or any other characteristic.
