Back-to-back game activities, sessions, and projects in Nigeria, and I finally landed at Gamathon by Africacomicade A few years back, I would have said we have a growing community, and the game industry is still growing. But now, I can confidently say that we have grown to the point where I feel proud of the industry I'm in and the continent I reside in. Beyond what you saw or will see on social media, beyond the news and blog posts, as someone who has traveled almost everywhere in Nigeria, talking and advocating for games with a blueprint on how game education should be, I’m happy and proud of what we have today. Gamathon broke that limit, and whatever we do, I can beat my chest and say, you can’t take away the growth of games in Nigeria and Africa from Africacomicade. Not just Michael Oscar Esio but the entire Africacomicade team, from Nimat Asunogie to Adewale Abdulkabir( who likes working behind the scenes) to Oluwatosin Ogunyebi, Faith, Fredrick Favour and lastly the outstanding Lucky Mark. * From Several foreign delegates. * Several Nigerian delegates, of which I'm proud to be one. * It’s a fusion of game studios, comics, and brands all coming together. * Game Pitches * Exhibitions ( games, XR, Comics, Animations) * Studio tours. * Business and legal sessions. * Gaming Tournaments. * The main industry day event. * A dinner, and then a party. The Digital Fashion Masterclass by Idiat Shiole (Hadeeart) and Jessica James started yesterday 🔥 . Participants got their first introduction into the world of Digital Fashion using tools like Style3D , #blender etc. LESLIE HOLDEN also joined virually and gave an insightful presentation on the future of Fashion Design and the evolving role of Fashion Designers. Tooday, Stella Achenbach, Hammed Arowosegbe and Aderinsola Amobi-Daniel would be talking with the participants after their hands-on workshop. Special thanks to Style3D , Basement Animation , LEAP Africa , and H03 media for the support in making this event happen. This is the start of something truly exciting.
