Mentoring the next generation of African youth to facilitate long term employability.

About us

This project is hosted by Primacy Youth Development Initiative, a registered Non-Governmental Organization in Nigeria, registration number RG711629. The African Youth Mentorship Project, led by the visionary Esther Ajudeonu stands as a beacon of hope and opportunity, having emerged from the crucible of independent ideation and evolved into a powerful force for change within the Engine Room. Born from the crucible of the annual Big Brainstorm, a virtual design sprint fervently championed by the United Nations Foundation, this initiative brings together young change-makers from every corner of the globe. It inspires them to explore, prototype, and launch initiatives aimed at confronting humanity's most daunting challenges. These innovators receive the nurturing wisdom of a Next Generation Fellow and the expert guidance of the UN Foundation Our Future Agenda team. The African Youth Mentorship Project is not just an idea—it's a burgeoning movement, an idea on the brink of a revolution. It has sprouted roots that now reach deep into the five distinct subregions of the African continent: North Africa, West Africa, Central Africa, South Africa and East Africa. With fervent coordinators at the helm, this initiative is poised to transform the lives of over 3000 young minds across Africa, equipping them with the compass they need for informed decisions that align with their passions. But this initiative is not solely about career guidance—it's about forging a path towards prosperity and bridging the gaping chasm of unemployment and underemployment that plagues our youth. It's about nurturing the seeds of innovation and empowering them to flourish.
