  • Healthcare professionals are always on the move as saving lives is serious business, but this does not stand in the way of their need for continuous learning. In line with the never-ending cycle of day or night shifts, it is almost impossible for them to always physically attend a class, no matter how important it might be. The presence of the never-ending work cycle does not override the fact that the medical field is one area that keeps evolving and churning out new information that is often deemed as vital to medical practice.   Owing to limited free time and an ever-growing increase in curriculum requirements, it has become a prerequisite for healthcare professionals to go the extra mile in the pursuit of additional knowledge. Leveraging on internet technologies and this need to meet personal learning objectives, remote learning became a solution that allows them to study from the call room, at home or even in a taxi. The options that remote learning offers healthcare professionals are quite broad, from control over the courses to focus on activities per time to the pace and finally the resources, all in line with personal objectives. In order to make E-learning an actual reality, different institutes have sprung up to bridge the knowledge gap and try to create a safe zone for healthcare professionals.   Over time, one of the challenges of remote learning has to be acceptance on the part of trainees, as its effectiveness over traditional learning is often argued. However, evidence suggests that e-learning is more efficient because the participants gain knowledge, skills, and attitudes faster than through traditional instructor-led methods. How? Interactive learning, which is the heart of E-learning shifts the focus from a passive, teacher-centered model to one that is active and learner-centered, offering a stronger learning stimulus. This Interactivity in turn,  helps to maintain the learner's interest and provides a means for individual practice and reinforcement. The end result is often improved motivation and performance at their workplace.   Though all these institutes, one of which is AlwaysLife Institute, have a common goal to strengthen the medical foundation of healthcare professionals, what makes the difference is the route as this is not the end, but a means to an end.

  • In a small village in Western Africa, there was a woman named Cynthia who had always lived a simple life. She loved her family and spent her days tending to the needs of her children and husband. But one day, a sharp, constant pain struck her abdomen. Weeks went by, and the pain worsened, leaving her bedridden. The village doctor, a kind man who had served for years, told her she needed surgery for a common ailment. But the thought of surgery terrified her. She had seen others undergo traditional surgeries, which left them with large scars and long, painful recoveries. Many in her village whispered stories of people who never made it through. Cynthia felt helpless. One day, a visiting surgeon from the city arrived. He spoke of a new kind of surgery—a technique that used only tiny incisions and caused minimal trauma. Cynthia was hesitant but desperate for relief. After discussing it with her family, she chose to put her trust in this new method. The procedure was quick, and to Cynthia's surprise, she felt little pain afterward. Within a few days, she was up and walking again, the scars barely visible, the recovery swift. Her life returned to normal, but something inside her had changed. She had seen firsthand how modern techniques, like minimally invasive surgery, could transform lives without the prolonged suffering of traditional methods. • What Skills Do I Need to Be a Successful Healthcare Manager? Decision making and good judgment is one of the most necessary skills for a candidate to have. Healthcare managers need to make regular decisions in the course of the workday, and they will need to carefully weigh options before making the best choice for the institution they manage. In a similar vein, managers need to be both analytical and detail-oriented. Healthcare managers need to have a strong working knowledge of regulations that apply to hospitals, nursing homes, and doctor’s offices, and they need to be able to make sure they consistently operate within those regulations. And since they usually oversee scheduling, billing, and data collection, extreme attention to detail is a must. The job duties of a healthcare manager can look very different from one day to the next — the manager may go from finalizing budget decisions on Monday to evaluating a new health information system on Tuesday. To succeed, managers need to be highly adaptable, and they’ll need to be able to juggle concurrent tasks and deadlines. Interested in more information? Look over here: https://lnkd.in/e_GP_7gU

  • Healthcare Management vs. Healthcare Administration The terms healthcare management and healthcare administration are often mistakenly used interchangeably, and many people believe they are the same thing. They are two different things. Healthcare management is in charge of the entire healthcare organization while healthcare administration takes care of the staff and employees. The healthcare administrator may be in charge of hiring staff for a specific department, but it’s the healthcare manager who may determine if another employee should be hired. In short, healthcare managers deal mostly with the business side of healthcare organizations. A healthcare administrator will determine the best ways to help staff be more efficient at their jobs and will understand the type of treatment the facility will provide to patients. The healthcare manager is the one who decides on the treatment, the number of staff, and how each department should be run. Healthcare managers focus on the big-picture needs and direction of a hospital or other medical setting, while administrators focus largely on working with the staff. Healthcare managers typically oversee hospital-wide matters, and administrators oversee individual departments. Though healthcare managers and healthcare administrators have different duties, they often work together, especially when implementing major changes in policy or technology. In smaller settings (like private practices), one person may fulfill the roles of both administrator and manager. Which would you rather be? A healthcare manager or a healthcare administrator?
