When individuals and organizations prioritize ethical practices, they create an environment that fosters fair trade. This commitment not only drives economic growth but also builds lasting trust among stakeholders.
Tackling corruption requires commitment from many different stakeholders - also defined as collective action work - which I’m a huge fan of! The Maritime Anti-Corruption Network is happy to take further steps in building on our collective methodology through support from USAID and the private sector. With this partnership, we can further expand MACN’s unique HelpDesk model! Thank you to USAID’s Doing Business with Integrity and Countering Transnational Corruption Grand Challenges for Development, as well as everyone who supported us through this process, for making this possible.
I would also like to thank Maersk Line, Limited, A.P. Moller - Maersk, Lauritzen Fonden, DS NORDEN, Hafnia, Odfjell SE, J M Baxi Group, the Institute of Export Operations & Management - IEOM. Nigeria, as well as members of the MACN Advisory Committee in India for the required match funding for this phase of the HelpDesk expansion.
And finally - congratulations and thank you to the MACN team who worked so hard on this. Thank you all!
