  • Today marks Global Recycling Day! Celebrated every year on March 18th, this day serves as a powerful reminder of the critical role recycling plays in preserving our planet. At Chanja Datti, recycling is at the heart of everything we do. Every day, our committed team works tirelessly to collect, sort, and process plastics, cans, paper, and other recyclable materials. Our work is not just about managing waste; it’s about reimagining waste as a valuable resource that can be transformed, reused, and given new purpose. But our impact goes beyond sustainability. Through our work, we empower individuals, create jobs, support families, and provide opportunities for women and youth to build brighter futures. As you watch our recycling facility in action, remember: Waste is not the end of the story—it’s the beginning of something new. #GlobalRecyclingDay #ChanjaDatti

  • They took everything… but not her voice. Meet Gift, a widow of over 5 years, whose life shattered when she was cast out by her husband’s family after his death. Her story is one of countless women silenced by stigma, isolation, and injustice. As we mark #InternationalWomensDay, we must accelerate actions to protect widows like Gift. They deserve dignity, support, and the right to rebuild their lives. To every woman fighting this battle: You are not alone. You are seen. You are not forgotten. A heartfelt THANK YOU to our partners at Brook Of Olives Women Initiative, https://lnkd.in/dR8tQ4xa for amplifying these critical voices and tirelessly working to uplift widows through outreach, advocacy, and storytelling.

  • As we celebrate our 10 years anniversary, we are reminded that our journey has always been about more than safeguarding the environment; it is also about people, community, and striving for real change. In Partnership with Brook of Olives Women Initiative, we visited widows in Lugbe and Giri areas of Abuja. These women have faced unimaginable challenges, from losing their husbands to dealing with rejection and isolation. We gave each of the women 10,000 naira, along with new clothes, as a small way of saying: We see you. You are not alone. The gratitude on their faces said it all. This is what 10 years of impact looks like standing together, lifting each other up, and making sure no one is left behind. #ChanjaDattiat10
