Today we had the privilege of hosting a delegation of Chiefs, Clan heads, and Community leaders from Gawun-Babangida District of Gurara local government in Niger State. Led by Alh. Suleiman Abdullahi, the delegation came over to express their heartfelt gratitude to #Chromevolt, following the electrification of the only PHC in the district under the #HETA project. #Chromevolt is currently powering PHCs and impacting lives in rural and peri-urban communities across Nigeria. Today we see that communities like Gawun-Babangida are already experiencing the profound impact of the #HETA solar energy initiative for health care facilities, and we hope to expand our reach to more PHCs, amplifying the impact and saving more lives. #chromevolt #A2EI #poweringhealthcarefacilities #renewableenergy #leavenoonebehind #HETA #NPHCDA #Abt #USAID #PowerAfrica

Last week, #Chromevolt was proud to showcase our solar installations under the #HETA project, in partnership with Access to Energy Institute, We joined forces with Abt Global USAID and Power Africa to demonstrate the impact of reliable energy on healthcare. At the Apo Resettlement health facility, we highlighted the benefits of the solar backup system and engaged in insightful discussions with the Power Africa coordinator; Richard Nelson, and the Executive Director of the Rural Electrification Agency of Nigeria; Doris Uboh The project's success is already being felt, with the facility's officer-in-charge raising awareness among pregnant mothers and patients about the improved services made possible by reliable backup power. We look forward to expanding our impact to more Primary Health Centers and being part of their success stories! #HETAproject #SolarEnergy #HealthcareAccess #Sustainability #PartnershipForImpact #NPHCDA #Leavenoonebehind #Letsgogreen

Under the HETA project #Chromevolt has been commissioned to power 75 Primary Health Care Facilities in Nigeria. Following advocacy visits and consultations with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Local authorities and the selected Facilities, installations have begun with 6 facilities powered already. Each of the selected facilities cater to the health care needs of at least 2000 women and children within the communities they cover. Due to unstable grid and in some cases no grid supply at all, some of these facilities have before now depended on candle sticks, kerosene lanterns and rechargeable torchlights for power at night when taking delivery of newborns, caring for mothers after delivery, and administering first aid to out patients with emergency cases to save lives. Stay tuned for more information as we electrify these facilities. #Chromevolt #primaryhealthcare #HETA #A2EI #USAID #CleanEnergy #Letsgogreen

Energy access is still a major problem in Africa. More than 600 million people, mostly in sub-saharan #Africa, are living without access to electricity supply. Around 970 million people do not have access to clean cooking solutions. Most people in urban areas rely on LPG gas. However, price rises are pushing people to use none sustainable solutions such as wood. Despite the fact that Africa is rich in renewable sources , it could provide hydroelectric, wind, and solar power. The International Energy Agency (IEA) says that the continent needs $25 billion investment per year from the global community in order to meet renewable energy goals by 2030. I joined Tom McRae, Senior Presenter at Al Jazeera Media Network English, to share the actions countries in Africa are taking to leverage the renewable energy potential in their states, raise ambition, improve energy security and catalyze investments. We discussed the wins already recorded in some countries and part of the outcomes of COP28, which is to triple renewables and accelerate energy transition. #energytransition #energyaccess #cleancooking #IRENA14Assembly #IEA #SEforAll #UNSDG7GlobalStocktake #RenewableEnergySpecialist

Here’s more from our field trip last week… #chromevolt

So about last week :) #Chromevolt hosted a weeklong field trip and a workshop with #A2EI and other partners; Brenda Obilo #GoodEnergies, Lily Beadle #CarbonTrust, @Farouk Bello #GEAPP, @Susan Essien #SNV, NIKHIL DESAI #Ideasunbound, Selbyen Gambo #REA, and many more… Chromevolt showcased our over 200 standalone solar installations in the Wuse market, providing energy access to small businesses in a cluster, we also visited one of the primary health care centers powered by Chromevolt in the outskirts of Abuja. The workshop amongst other interesting topics, featured a brainstorming session on access to funding, access to stock, regenerative economics for solar energy distributors in Nigeria and indeed Africa. Of interest as well, is the much anticipated launch of the Green Genset Facility #GGF which will bridge the gap between manufacturers of solar energy equipment and distributors or project implementations partners with access to stock locally. Big Thank You to all the participants, #A2EI team and #Chromevolt team for making this possible :) #Letsgogreen #powerhealthcenters #leavenoonebehind #accesstoenergy #

Hmmmmm
Two inspiring days at Sankalp Forum in Nairobi. And some take aways from our workshop on the Regenerative Economy: - the alternative to regenerative is unfortunately cheaper ( True Price ? ) - more patiënt & flexible capital is needed - a regenerative product alone is not enough, you need to change the whole ecosystem for success. Looking back on the year 2023, even though #Chromevolt recorded over 200% customer growth, our highest point was our #CSRproject; sustainably powering Dutse Makaranta Primary Health Care Center. We went back after three months just to have a feel of our impact on the PHC and the community. The experience was quite elating, much more than the joy we felt at first. We can’t wait for the next community impacting activity😎 #primaryhealthcare #leavenoonebehind #SDG7 #SDG3 #SDG1
