About a week ago, we held the Girl Child Symposium to commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child in the Alabekob community, Ajah, focusing on low-income private schools within the Ogombo area. In her welcome speech, our Executive Director, Eniola Edun-Ogunlana , highlighted the objectives of the symposium and stressed the crucial role of girls in leadership and innovation for a better tomorrow. 🎊 Mrs. Bisilola Asenuga led a session titled "Mindful Leadership: Cultivating Self-Awareness in Girls for a Better Tomorrow." She emphasized the importance of self-awareness in leadership, covering key points such as understanding personal temperament, strengths, and weaknesses; prioritizing health and self-care; and goal-setting using a FAITH-based acronym for vision board creation. She also discussed the significance of having a role model and effective time management for young leaders. 🎊 A key part of the event was a debate competition among several schools, including out-of-school girls. The topic was: "Should the Government Be Held More Accountable for Eliminating Child Marriage and Protecting Girls' Rights?" Tem-Top College emerged as an Outstanding School and received a certificate. Additionally, students from J-Light City Schools were recognized as the Winner and First Runner-Up for their articulate debate skills. 🎊 Furthermore, there was a quiz competition among the participating schools, with Vic-Grace Heights School emerging as the winner and receiving several prizes during the awards ceremony. We appreciate The Hygiene Bank Nigeria for their support. #girlsinleadership #girlsvisionforthefuture #girlboss #genderequality #girlchildday #girlchildmatters #girlpower #idgc2024 #girlchild

Dear Employers, We believe that while pizza parties are enjoyable, they are not the only form of reward and recognition for hard work. It would be great to also incorporate verbal appreciation, as well as engaging in other uplifting activities or events to show recognition for our efforts. We would appreciate your input, employees. Are we capturing your sentiments accurately? 😉 #mentalwellbeingforall #menstrualhealthmatters #myhealthmyright #mensmentalhealthawareness

In honor of Mental Health Day, we encourage all employees to prioritize their well-being over their paychecks. Money cannot buy mental health, especially in a toxic workplace with an unhealthy work culture. So, the question is: in such a scenario, what would you choose? An unhealthy work culture with good pay? or A healthy work culture with minimal pay?

Today, on World Mental Health Day, we come together to raise awareness and reaffirm our commitment to supporting mental well-being for all. Mental health is integral to living a balanced, fulfilled life, and it is as vital as physical health. Yet, it remains a topic often shrouded in stigma, misunderstanding, and neglect. In recognizing this day, we must not only highlight the importance of mental health but also honor the resilience of those facing mental health challenges, the dedication of professionals in the field, and the significance of creating supportive environments at home, work, and in our communities. #worldmentalhealthday #mentalhealthmatters #breakthestigma #supportandcare #mentalwellbeingforall
