Back flash… In the glow of childhood's light, I had a friend in Primary school, my heart's delight. Together we laughed, shared snacks and dreams, Life felt perfect, or so it seems. We were like sisters, so close, they’d say, Twins in spirit, come what may. Through fights and joy, we stood as one, But soon the games of vision and choice were done. Withdrawal crept, a shadow's hand, She slipped away, I couldn't understand. “Where’s your friend?” the questions poured, While deep inside, my heart was floored. “Oh, trust not too much,” the whispers grew, “You’ll find joy in the goodies, too.” Yet I missed her laughter, her smile, her grace, I sought her out, tried to find my place. After weeks, she came back with a sigh, But soon new friends caught her eye. Older kids with tales to share, And in their world, I felt nowhere. One day I asked, “What did I do?” Her words struck hard, a painful truth. “Permit me to answer, my sister in Christ!” A line that stung, but I tried to be nice. I followed her there, but felt the sting, Their chatter felt hollow, a mocking ring. Vision whispered, “Choose your own path, This isn’t the friendship you’re meant to have.” I confided in Mom, my heart laid bare, She guided me gently through the despair. I started to cherish my own company, Though questions buzzed like a busy bee. “Why aren’t you two friends anymore?” The curious asked, igniting the score. But deep down, I prayed for her light, Hoping she’d find her way, day and night. We ended up in the same school hall, But her choices led her to a different call. Skipping classes, chasing the thrill, While I embraced the head prefect's will. With vision in hand, I made my choice, Though I wished for her, I’d found my voice. She left junior school, perhaps for the best, And I held onto dreams, passed each test. So here's what I learned, as a child so small: Vision helps you see what’s real after all. Without it, the people perish and stray, It guides your focus, lights up the way. Here’s my secret: I turn to the Holy Spirit for inspiration. During those uncertain moments, I pray, “Holy Spirit, guide me in knowing what to share. Help me combine my thoughts, stories, and lessons into a clear message.” Before long, ideas start flowing and organizing themselves. I’ve made this practice a cornerstone of my creative process, and it consistently yields clarity. As Job 32:8 reminds us, “But there is a spirit in man, and the inspiration of the Almighty gives them understanding.” Never underestimate the transformative power of His presence. The Holy Spirit delves into the depths of our hearts, offering insights that can elevate our careers and personal branding (1 Corinthians 2:10). Many times we have ideas of what to post about our careers and brands, but how to communicate this for clarity and understanding purpose, without miscommunicating it, is the problem ⚠️ Reflect on Proverbs 16:3: “Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.” There is profound strength in His name—“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe” (Proverbs 18:10).
