"Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health is the most shocking and inhumane." — Martin Luther King Jr. At Equitable Medicaid, we redesign systems that have historically failed disadvantaged populations and engineer solutions that are disability-centered, accessible, and unapologetically equitable. #WHO #PLWD #healthcare #Africa
About us
Equitable Medicaid and Clinical Research is a non-profit organization with a commitment to providing equal access to healthcare for economically disadvantaged populations, especially in rural and underserved communities, regardless of background, income levels, or geographical location. Founded on the belief that everyone deserves equitable access to quality medical services, we strive to bridge the gap in healthcare disparities. What sets us apart is our use of technology to deepen access to primary healthcare delivery. Clinical research is at the heart of our mission. We conduct rigorous studies to understand the safety and effectiveness of medications, devices, diagnostic products, and treatment regimens designed for human use, as well as the unique healthcare needs of diverse populations.

Equitable Medicaid and Clinical Research are building and developing lifesaving solutions using artificial intelligence (AI) to deepen access to healthcare delivery in rural and underserved communities. AI can reshape care delivery, enable faster diagnosis, streamlined treatment plans, and improved distribution of medical resources to marginalized populations. This workshop on “Human Rights Dimensions of Artificial Intelligence and United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights: Challenges and Opportunities in Africa”, held on 20 March 2025 at the National Human Rights Commission Headquarters, Abuja, organized by the International Network for Corporate Social Responsibility in collaborative partnership with Paradigm Initiative (PIN), the United Nations Working Group on Business and Human Rights (Switzerland), the National Human Rights Commission of Nigeria (NHRC), the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), and the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), explores how ethical AI can inspire developers to prioritize fairness, reduce disparities, and uphold human dignity across Africa.

Join us on March 24, 2025, for a meaningful mountain hike to honor World TB Day. Together, we’ll climb to raise awareness for tuberculosis—a disease that remains a silent crisis in Nigeria. Did you know? In 2022 alone, Nigeria recorded 479,000 new TB cases, yet half of these cases go undiagnosed. Every year, 140,000 lives are lost to a disease that’s preventable and curable. This hike is more than a challenge; it’s a call to action. Bring your friends, share this event, or donate to support TB programs. For participation, DM for more info. #EndTB #NigeriaHealth
