Our structures have helped build Nigeria's backbone, Julius Berger undertook the construction of the Tuga Bridge over the Niger River, a vital link that significantly improved connectivity and transportation in the region. This project also included the continuation of the road for 23 km to Kaoje, enhancing access and fostering economic growth in these areas. Progressively, the construction of a 10 km long road bypassing Zungeru town was completed, further cementing Julius Berger’s role in advancing Nigeria’s infrastructure. This project included the construction of two additional bridges, ensuring seamless travel and reducing congestion in the town. The Challawa Gorge Dam was inaugurated in 1991, marking a significant advancement in regional infrastructure. Standing at 7.8 km long and 42 m high, the dam was constructed with multiple purposes in mind. Primarily, it aimed to improve irrigation, enhance agricultural productivity and support the livelihoods of local farmers. Additionally, the dam ensures a reliable water supply to Kano City and other towns and settlements along the river system, addressing critical water needs for domestic and industrial use. #PartnerforProgress #JuliusBergerImpact

Today, we announce the appointment of Dr. Peer Lubasch as the new Managing Director/CEO of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, effective 16 October 2024. Dr. Lubasch has made substantial contributions to a variety of sectors, such as infrastructure, services, and building, during his 20-year career in the construction industry. Dr. Lubasch's extensive knowledge and experience of Nigeria, which he has acquired over the course of a significant portion of his professional journey, will be invaluable in his new position. His reputation as a visionary leader in the field has been further solidified by his successful tenure as Managing Director/CEO of Julius Berger International over the past two years. Our deepest thanks go to Engr. Dr. Lars Richter for his exceptional leadership and for steering the company through transformative growth over the last six years. Julius Berger undertook the ambitious task of constructing the New Carter Bridge within a stringent 30-month timeframe. The New Carter Bridge stands as one of the three key bridges linking Lagos Island to the mainland, alongside the Third Mainland and Eko bridges.
