Every picture here tells a story of faith, passion, resilience, and audacity. When I was posted to the Middle Belt of Nigeria for my NYSC (National Youth Service Corps), I served in a rural area where I noticed some heartbreaking trends. Young girls and teenagers were either pregnant or already married. And in many cases, education seemed irrelevant to the youth; nearly 95% showed little to no interest in school. As I connected with female students, I uncovered something even more troubling. Many of these girls were being taken advantage of sometimes by teachers or even fellow corps members who were meant to be role models. I realized the real issue was rooted in ignorance and a mindset shaped by culture and environment. It wasn’t just a lack of resources; it was a lack of awareness. I couldn’t just stand by. I felt a strong call to do something, so I took it upon myself to lead a personal community development project focused on two crucial areas: sex education and the value of education itself. You can see it in the first two pictures ( I couldn't snap many pictures 😞) moments spent educating these students, helping them understand the power of saying “no” and choosing their own path. With consistent sessions, change began to bloom. Students who once lacked direction began to set goals, saying no to advances and prioritizing their education. Their mindsets shifted as they saw education as a path to freedom and opportunity. Before leaving, two years later, I witnessed remarkable changes. Many of the students I worked with gained admission to higher institutions and left with visions and goals that stretched beyond their hometown. Two years have passed, and I still receive calls from some of them, a reminder that our impact can ripple forward. In the next 3 photos, I'm teaching the students how to bake. Organized by fellow corps members, this initiative aimed to equip them with practical skills and a sense of self-worth. Some of my own students from my baking academy, who were also serving as corps members, joined in to make this experience meaningful for all involved. It was rewarding to see these students gain confidence and new skills. So here’s what I’d like to say: wherever you find yourself, village or city be a positive force. Don’t just blend in or ignore the challenges. Identify a gap or problem and be a solution. Invest in lives, because the greatest investment you can make, after investing in yourself, is investing in others. Let’s work together to make the world a better place, one impact at a time. Happy Throwback Tuesday! I’m grateful to God for these memories and the chance to make a difference. PS: other pictures are pictures of my onsite students who are corpers, some of their practicals, a baking book written by me. PS.S: I'm really feeling emotional right now 😅😅 Gloria Dove ♥️ #education #sexeducation #sdgs

The World Needs More Than Employees—It Needs Problem Solvers Here’s a harsh reality: we have billions of people on Earth, yet countless problems persist. Why? Because we’ve been conditioned to seek jobs, not create solutions. Does This Sound Familiar? Most young professionals are focused on one thing: Finding a job. Or, even better: Finding a “better” job. Meanwhile, fewer people think about creating jobs or solving societal problems with the skills they already have. It's not our fault We grow up in a system that celebrates job-seeking over innovation. We’re taught to fit in, not stand out. To work hard for someone else’s dream, not our own. This mindset leads to a society where only a small fraction of people tap into their full potential to create real change. And the rest? They’re dependent on the few who do. But the World Needs YOU—Yes, You Today, more than ever, the world needs professionals who are: - Innovators - Problem-solvers - Creators of value Your knowledge, expertise, and unique skills aren’t just for clocking in and out of a job. They’re raw materials; materials you can use to solve problems, impact lives, and even achieve global goals. Think about this: - What knowledge or expertise do I have? - What problems or gaps exist in my industry, community, or society? - Who could benefit if I shared my knowledge to solve these issues? Ask yourself these questions, and you’ll start to uncover potential you might not even know was there. If This Resonates, Here’s My Offer I help young professionals break free from limiting beliefs and leverage their expertise to create impactful, income-generating solutions. Let’s talk about how you can start transforming your knowledge into a tool for change. The world needs more than employees. It needs people like you. #linkedin #professionals #gloriadove #Kbmodel #employees

Why Most Young Professionals Are Stuck and How You Can Break Free A few months ago, I sat with a group of young professionals at a workshop. As we wrapped up, one of them asked, “What does it really mean to create value?” This question lingered in my mind because it reflects a mindset that’s deeply rooted in many of us. We’ve grown up in systems that emphasize seeking opportunities, getting a good job, then a better one, and so on. But few of us are ever taught how to create opportunities. And that’s the problem. Imagine this: Earth is filled with over 8 billion people, yet every day, we see increasing social, economic, and environmental challenges. If everyone carries something valuable to offer, why do we have so many unsolved problems? The truth is, the world is in greater need of problem solvers and innovators than ever before. We need people who can look beyond just employment. We need people who use their expertise to identify gaps, fill needs, and improve lives. Yet, so many of us don’t realize that potential inside us because we’ve been trained to think like employees, not creators. Think about it: Most young people, fresh out of school or mid-career, are focused on how to get a job or a promotion. And so the cycle continues, many individuals, but few innovators. It’s a cycle that, if broken, could bring transformation. Because the world isn’t short of potential; it’s short of people who are bold enough to use it. So, How Do You Tap into That Potential? 🌟 Start with Self-Assessment Ask yourself: - What knowledge, expertise, or unique experience do I have? - Is there a gap, need, or problem that my knowledge could help solve? - Who are the people who would benefit from this solution? By exploring these questions, you start to identify where your skills meet society’s needs. 🌟 Shift from Employee Mindset to Problem-Solver Mindset Realize that your knowledge is not just something for your job description. It’s raw material that can be transformed into solutions— products, services, or initiative that can impact lives. The world needs your expertise beyond the four walls of your office. 🌟 Recognize That You Are More Than a Job Title Your title may say one thing, but your potential is limitless. Think of your knowledge as something that can drive change. Whether you’re a teacher, engineer, or accountant, you have skills that can create real solutions. 🌟 Think About the Global Goals Many challenges we face are tied to the Sustainable Development Goals—ending poverty, improving education, promoting well-being. Think of the impact you could make if you used your expertise to address these global challenges. Here’s the message: If you’re a young professional reading this, don’t wait for someone to hand you an opportunity. Don’t limit your potential to what’s written in your job description. Instead, think like a problem solver. Continue reading 👇👇👇

  • The Knowledge Business Model will empower more young people to become job creators. Imagine a world where young people aren’t just job seekers but job creators. They don’t rely solely on their degrees. Instead, they’re empowered to use their knowledge to generate solutions, solutions that create employment. This is the future of work where innovation, entrepreneurship, and impact merge. And the Knowledge Business Model is the key to making this future a reality. Here’s how: - Today’s youth have the tools to create their own businesses, no longer waiting for opportunities to come to them. - By leveraging their expertise to solve real-world problems, they directly contribute to #SDG8 (decent work and economic growth). The mindset shift is remarkable from chasing opportunities to creating them. The Knowledge Business Model empowers individuals to turn what they know into revenue-generating solutions. And the ripple effect? - Communities transformed. - Unemployment rates reduced. - Economies boosted, not just by large corporations but by young innovators creating opportunities where none existed before. This is how we impact the future. This is how we achieve SDG 8, one entrepreneur at a time. And this is why I’m committed to the Knowledge Business Model. The greatest investment you can make in your career isn’t what you think... It’s not about climbing the corporate ladder faster. It’s not even about chasing more degrees or certifications. What if I told you that the most valuable asset in your career is something you're already sitting on? Every day, professionals overlook this one thing that can multiply their income, impact, and influence. Guess what it is? Your expertise. But here’s the catch, your expertise on its own isn’t enough. It only becomes valuable when you turn it into something that others can use. The Knowledge Business Model is a proven strategy for transforming your expertise into knowledge products that you can sell. It helps professionals like you to diversify income, impact more lives, and position yourself as an authority in your field. Imagine creating a new stream of revenue just by sharing what you already know, through online courses, workshops, consulting, or e-books. And here’s why this matters: The world is evolving. Those who rely solely on their 9-to-5 will get left behind. The professionals who will thrive are those who leverage their expertise beyond the office. Are you ready to take that step? You have years of experience, insights, and skills that are too valuable to be confined to one organization. The world needs your knowledge and it’s time to make the most of it. Curious about how to turn your expertise into a thriving business? Send me a message, and let’s explore how the Knowledge Business Model can transform your career. #careergoals #gloriadove #kbmodel #investment

Young minds hold a wealth of knowledge, skills, and creativity that, if unlocked, could transform entire societies. Here’s the truth: Knowledge is a tool for change, but the real power lies in how we use it. That’s why Sdg 4 (Quality Education) is so critical.
