🌍 Today is World Water Day – Protect Our Glaciers! ❄️ For the first time ever, we’re marking a World Day for Glaciers, recognizing these vital ice formations that shape landscapes, store freshwater, and regulate our planet’s climate. Yet, glaciers are melting at an alarming rate due to rising global temperatures. This threatens freshwater supplies, increases sea levels, and disrupts ecosystems—putting millions of lives at risk. Glacier loss is not just about ice—it's about our future. We must act now by cutting greenhouse gas emissions, embracing renewable energy, and strengthening conservation efforts. At Lekan Bakare Foundation, we are committed to climate action and ocean conservation, because protecting glaciers means protecting life on Earth. 🌎💙 #WorldWaterDay #GlacierPreservation #ClimateAction #SaveOurPlanet

Forests are more than just the lungs of our planet—they are vital sources of food security, nutrition, and livelihoods for millions of people worldwide. From fruits and nuts to medicinal plants and spices, forests provide essential sustenance while supporting biodiversity and climate resilience. At Lekan Bakare Foundation, we recognize the critical role forests play in sustaining both people and the environment. Through our Tree Planting Program and coastal conservation initiatives, we are committed to restoring ecosystems, combating deforestation, and promoting sustainable practices that ensure forests continue to nourish future generations. This International Day of Forests, let’s reaffirm our responsibility to protect and restore these invaluable ecosystems. A healthier forest means a healthier planet—and a more food-secure future for all. #InternationalDayOfForests #ForestsAndFood #SustainableFuture #LBF #EcosystemRestoration
