Here are the things to consider when #planning for events in the rainy season: 1. Accept that it's the rainy season and don't try to fight it; your mental state will impact your planning prowess. 2. Be conversant with, and pay more attention to weather forecasts, especially around areas where you plan to host events. This would help you choose weather-favourable days. 3. For outdoor events, consider using alternative indoor venues but cut down on some outdoor activities that may not be "as sweet" indoors. You can improvise with more indoor activities. 4. When planning for guest souvenirs, you can consider weather-friendly gift items like umbrella, raincoat, rubber sandals/slipper, shower caps, steam bottles, leather hand gloves, etc. They may not be very expensive but will go a long way in keeping people dry and warm. 5. Research and do due diligence about intended venues and how they fare during the rains. It would save you and your guests a lot of stress and embarrassment. 6. Be security conscious. You don't have to take all your gadgets and devices out to avoid getting spoiled by water, You also don't want to fall victim to those who may want to seize the opportunity to carry out social vices....Just take the one you use frequently and keep it safe. 7. Have a handy water-proof bag to keep your jewelry, wristwatches, make-up kit (as applicable to you), and what have you, so you can put them on when you get to the event venue, and place in the bags again when leaving.
