  • WEEKLY REVIEW OCTOBER 30th   - November 6th, 2024 1. Engineer Jennifer Adighije, the Managing Director and CEO of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC), led a management team, including Dr. Steven Andzenge and Mr. Lolu Agoro, on a courtesy visit to Mr. Ola Olukoyede, the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). During the meeting, Engr. Adighije emphasized NDPHC’s dedication to transparency and regulatory compliance, seeking to enhance cooperation with the EFCC. In response, Mr. Olukoyede highlighted the collaboration between NDPHC and EFCC in addressing corruption and Power challenges in Nigeria, commending NDPHC’s commitment to due process. He urged the management to uphold transparency and accountability in all its dealings. 2.  Engr. Jennifer Adighije, M.D/C.E.O of NDPHC, and the Executive Management team have visited key National Power assets to enhance Power Plant performance and improve service delivery across the energy value chain. As the owner of the largest fleet of gas-fired turbines in the sector, NDPHC is vital to maintaining the stability of the transmission grid. During her visit to the Geregu facilities, Engr. Adighije emphasized her commitment to adhering to the Power grid code, ensuring NDPHC units are mechanically available for black start and ancillary support functions. This aligns with the goal of achieving grid resilience and advancing the President’s Renewed Hope agenda for Energy security.   • The M.D/C.E.O of NDPHC Engr. Jennifer Adighije and the Executive Management team have been on-ground visiting critical National Power assets in her drive to ensure optimal Power Plant performance for improved service delivery across the energy value chain. NDPHC owns the largest fleet of Power Generation Gas-fired turbines in the Power sector and therefore plays a critical role in ensuring Transmission Grid network stability.   • The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC) Engineer Jennifer Adighije led some members of her management team which included Dr. Steven Andzenge, Ph.D, (ED, Legal Services/Company Secretary) and Mr. Lolu Agoro (ED, Finance & Accounts) paid on a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Mr. Ola Olukoyede at the EFCC’s corporate headquarters. Engr. Adighije in her remarks, pointed to NDPHC’s commitment to maintaining strict adherence to transparency, legal and regulatory frameworks as well as a desire to forge cooperation with the EFCC. “We are here first to familiarize ourselves with the agency and to seek your cooperation while being guided by extant laws and regulations,” she said. In responding, Mr. Olukoyede noted that the EFCC and NDPHC are involved in tackling two of Nigeria’s most pressing challenges: corruption and power, explained that addressing these two core national problems would greatly help in advancing the country’s development. He also lauded NDPHC’s quest for observance of due process and preparedness to strengthen its regulatory compliance and pledged the assistance of the Commission to the company in instances where its contractors fall short in their contractual obligations to it. The Executive Chairman advised NDPHC Management not to do anything they cannot defend tomorrow as situation exists where people were recalled 20 years after leaving public service to answer for what they did while in office, “Positions of trust demand utmost transparency and accountability,” he concluded. The Management team was present to conduct technical and commercial assessments of the Industrial Cluster as part of the Eligible Customer Program under the Light Up Nigeria Initiative. The team engaged with key stakeholders and conveyed their willingness to scale up Electric Power supply at Agbara Industrial Area through the Eligible Customer Program while adhering to industry regulations and creating a strong project implementation framework that benefits all parties. 2. Our Management team held a high-level strategic meeting with its EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and PC (Project Consultancy) contractors. In alignment with the 3 Ps of successful leadership embraced by the new Management team which includes; People Management, Process Management, and Projects Management, the meeting focused on driving better performance, efficiency, and collaboration across all ongoing and future projects. 3. Our MD/CEO, NDPHC, Engr.
