Staged in Abuja, Kaduna, and Benue, this powerful drama follows Hauwa and her brothers as they navigate life as displaced orphans, confronting trauma, bullying, and exploitation. The performances underscored the importance of mental health support, community resilience, and dialogue as essential pillars in peacebuilding. The Prevent and Protect project team, funded by the Ford Foundation, recently met with the Chief Judge of Sokoto State to advocate for a survivor-centered approach in handling gender-based violence (GBV) cases. The visit also provided a unique opportunity to push for the establishment of a special GBV-designated court and a case decongestion committee to monitor GBV cases. This initiative is part of Neem Foundation's unwavering commitment to creating a society where women and girls are safer, and justice is swift and survivor-focused.
