An Empowerment Organization that sheds light on Sickle Cell Disease [SCD] through awareness, advocacy & education.

About us

An Empowerment Organization that sheds light on Sickle Cell Disease [SCD] with the hope that by 2040 the number of SCD patients in Nigeria would have dropped by 5-10%. We are also interested in the overall growth of young people (16-35) by making them know that life can be better than what it is presently with God as their focus. We achieve these objectives by hosting Seminars, Worship Meetings, Webinars, Awareness Programs, Masterclasses, Health Talks, etc

  • DAY TWELVE 📌📌📌 Myth: SCD can be transmitted through blood donation. Fact: Blood donation is safe for individuals living with SCD to receive, and donated blood undergoes rigorous screening to ensure its safety. SCD cannot be transmitted through blood transfusions. Blood transfusion is very important as it saves warriors from extreme complications from sickle cell crises. To the general public, we urge you to please donate blood! 🩸 To warriors, when last did you receive a blood transfusion? Let us know in the comments! 👇👇👇 Like, comment and share this to educate your circle!!! 💪🏻 See you tomorrow! 😊✌️ #nextgenerationinitiative #mythsvsfacts #scdmythsvsfacts #scdmyths #scdfacts #sicklecellawareness

  • DAY TEN 📌📌📌 SCD is a genetic disorder caused by inheriting abnormal haemoglobin genes from both parents. It is not a punishment or curse, but rather a biological condition. Warriors, ignore those cultures or those saying that SCD is a result of a curse or punishment. Do you still hear these kinds of statements? If yes, what do you do/what is your response? 🤔 Tell us in the comments. 👇 Like, comment and share this to educate your circle!!! 💪🏻 See you tomorrow! 😊✌️ #nextgenerationinitiative #mythsvsfacts #scdmythsvsfacts #scdmyths #scdfacts #sicklecellawareness #sicklecelladvocacy

  • DAY NINE 📌📌📌 With proper medical care and monitoring, many women with SCD can have successful pregnancies. It should be noted that pregnancy in women with SCD requires specialized care to manage potential complications. Do you know any warrior mothers? 🤔 Tag them and celebrate them in the comments. 👇 Like, comment and share this to educate your circle!!! 💪🏻 See you tomorrow! 😊✌️ #nextgenerationinitiative #mythsvsfacts #scdmythsvsfacts #scdmyths #scdfacts #sicklecellawareness #sicklecelladvocacy

  • DAY EIGHT 📌📌📌 Warriors may have some protection against severe forms of malaria, but they are still susceptible to the disease and require preventive measures when travelling to malaria-endemic regions. 🚨Note that this is a general rule and may not be so in the life of every warrior. Dear warrior, when last did you have malaria and how severe was it? 🤔 Let us know in the comments. 👇 Like, comment and share this to educate your circle!!! 💪🏻 See you tomorrow! 😊✌️ #nextgenerationinitiative #mythsvsfacts #scdmythsvsfacts #scdmyths #scdfacts #sicklecellawareness #sicklecelladvocacy
