PeopleInProduct (PIP) Community is a thriving community of Product Managers; offering access to peer support, learning and interview preparation resources, job opportunities, mentorships, and much more. PIP also serves as a safe space and platform for Product managers to connect, network, and learn from each other. Since its inception, we've made significant impact on the career growth of ~6,000 product professionals. Additionally, we've successfully hosted 31 in-person PM hangouts for our community members in multiple regions across Africa and the United Kingdom, fostering meaningful connections and collaboration.

Had an awesome time speaking at the People In Product webinar yesterday! My topic was “The Product Career Playbook: Leveraging Networking, Mentorship, and AI.” From building the slides to practicing and finally presenting, it was such a fun experience. Special shout-out to Joshua O. Adeyole—hands down the best Product Designer out there! It’s been forever since we worked together (tb to my design days!), and it was cool teaming up again. Your help was clutch—thanks a lot! The session was super interactive, and I’m really grateful to everyone who showed up, asked questions, and made it such a great conversation. It’s always a great time to unwind.. Leave work and relax, my people lol Last Saturday, I attended the People In Product Q4 meetup. Met with various Product Managers, did some networking, played games and sang karaoke. It was such an experience! I sometimes struggle to connect with people at social gatherings, and I know one or two persons feel the same way as well. But this time, here is what I did that changed the game for me; 📍Prior to the event, I made up my mind to be intentional about the outing. 📍I set a target number of people I wanted to meet and network with. 📍I prepared to be open minded and participate in the fun activities 📍I tried my best to take pictures and actually have fun. Still working on the pictures part.. Now, A cheatcode: sharing contact information does not always imply that you have bonded with someone. You may need to message them straight away or as soon as you get home on a social channel where they are most active, and put yourself right in their faces lol. Remember, you are not the only one who has exchanged contacts with them. Consider doing things a bit differently 😉. I don’t know if this is found in any book or material but that was what worked for me. Have you ever been anxious about networking?
