On the use of health insurance platforms to mitigate the financial burden associated with medical care, we surveyed the coverage of Nigerians by any type of health insurance or health care plan [employer-sponsored insurance, prepaid plans, or government plans] such as AXA Mansard Health Insurance, Reliance HMO, Leadway Health Limited, amongst others. About 7 out of 10 claimed to be covered by a healthcare plan, while 3 out of 10 were not utilizing any of these services. Having access to high-quality healthcare during times of illness is ensured by a health insurance plan, which protects people from the financial pressure of medical bills or health-related expenses Contact our team of experts to manage your research project for you by clicking this link: https://lnkd.in/dHgsD44Q Or Email: info@researchconnectng.com #researchconnect #healthychoices #healthresearch #researchers #researchworld #researchstudy #researcherlife #ResearchMethodology #researchpaper #Doctors #MedicalResearch #medicalequipment #insurance #healthcare #healthinsurance AriseTVNetwork TVCconnect TVCconnect

Regarding the dissemination of false or misleading health information on social media channels, we asked Nigerians about their views on organizations which should take sole responsibility for decreasing the spread of these messages. The highest percentage of the respondents [37%] believed that healthcare workers and systems should be seen at the forefront, with social media users recorded to have the second highest rate [27%]. While social media platforms and government had close rates of [17%] and [16%] respectively, the news media [9%] was believed to have little impact on minimizing false spread of health information. Collaborative approaches among stakeholders would be vital in diminishing the circulation of inappropriate health messages. In an era of rapid technological advancement, we asked 91 Nigerians if they had used any electronic wearable devices for monitoring their health or physical activities within the last 1 year. Findings revealed that 84% of the respondents have not used any of these devices within the last 1 year. There are a number of reasons why wearable technology is not widely used among Nigerians, such as cost, privacy issues, and health literacy. However, it is important to note that electronic wearable devices have transformed how individuals view their health and physical activity, making its users take steps towards an informed healthier lifestyle. We asked Nigerians how they used their internet-enabled devices to access health and wellness apps. This platform commonly known as "MobileHealth" or "mHealth" uses digital technology to improve access to healthcare. According to the findings, 45% of the respondents had used one of these apps within 1 year on their tablets or smartphones. Further analysis revealed that women (51%) were more likely than men (36%) to have used a wellness app in the past 1 year. The search for preventive or curative healthcare measures may be more common among women. Utilizing health apps for tracking menstrual cycles, fertility, and postpartum care is common among women. Looking at the confidence level of Nigerians in assessing useful health resources on the internet, two out of five respondents were “somewhat confident” [42%], while [39%] were “completely or very confident”, leaving “little or not confident” [18%] at the least. Regarding comparison of the confidence levels within each gender group on securing health-related information online, five out of ten males said they were "completely or very confident” [51%], compared to three out of ten females who said the same [33%]. On the other hand, the "somewhat confident" ratings for males and females showed the opposite of these statistics [females 51%; males 30%]. The "little or no confidence" option had the lowest response with the opinion of male participants at [18%] and females at [16%]. It is worthy to note that although a lot of people look for health-related information online, not all online resources can be considered trustworthy. In response to the ongoing immigration trends in Nigeria, popularly known as “Japa”, we asked 98 Nigerians if they know anyone personally who has relocated from the country in the last 2 weeks. Half (51%) of surveyed Nigerians said "yes." Further analysis of immigration trends from previous months revealed an 18% increase in the rate of relocation between April and October 2023. The rise in the number of Nigerians relocating to other countries is likely associated with their pursuit of better opportunities and improved living conditions.
