🌾 Exciting Developments at Spunvertek! 🌾 We are currently undergoing site selection and mapping to determine the optimal locations for installing 30 units of standalone solar water pumps for rice farmers in the Edozighi community of Gbako Local Government Area, Niger State. This initiative will benefit over 800 farmers and span a land mass of over 180 hectares of rice farms. Spunvertek is leveraging its IoT Embedded Systems to bring smart irrigation practices to life. As pioneers in providing smart solar-powered irrigation systems, our remote monitoring and data collation capabilities will offer real-time insights into soil moisture, temperature, humidity, water pressure, and solar energy metrics (wattage, voltage, current). This data will be available for public research and analysis, enhancing rice cultivation practices across different seasons. With the support of $100k grant funding from USADF and additional funding from IYF through Leap Africa, Spunvertek is making a significant impact on small-holder rice farmers in rural areas, bringing innovation and sustainability to their fields. 🌞🌾🌱 #SmartIrrigation #SolarPoweredFarming #Sustainability #Agritech #RiceFarming #Spunvertek #USADF #LeapAfrica #IoT #RuralDevelopment Osarume Akenzua David Arinze Tinyan Ogiehor Bankole Oloruntoba All On LEAP Africa
