Today, the Director General of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria(SON), Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwunonso Okeke, met with Mr. Zheng Xiaopeng, National Executive Chairman of the Nigeria-China Business Council, to strengthen Nigeria-China relations. Key discussions focused on improving product quality, boosting bilateral trade, and advancing Nigeria’s industrial growth, all in alignment with the President’s development agenda. This collaboration also aligns with the objectives of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), reinforcing efforts to enhance Nigeria’s ease of doing business and drive economic reform. As part of our mandate, the Standards Organisation of Nigeria remains committed to promoting and facilitating free trade through the establishment and enforcement of quality standards that elevate Nigeria's global competitiveness.

This interactive meeting underscores SON’s commitment to advancing Nigeria’s industrial standards, embracing digital solutions, and fostering partnerships to ensure our products meet global benchmarks

The Director General, Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON)-Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwunonso Okeke met with Prof. Oserheimen A. Osunbor, who leads the Nigerian National Mirror Committee and the ISO Workgroup on Fraud Control. They discussed Nigeria’s role in ISO Technical Committee 309, which focuses on governance and anti-bribery standards. Nigerian organizations are encouraged to adopt these standards to enhance their management systems.

The Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) hosted a productive meeting with Mr. Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, Director General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC). We discussed enhancing vehicle safety, emissions, and performance standards in Nigeria. Together, we're committed to ensuring that Nigerian roads are safe and environmentally friendly. This partnership is a crucial step in improving the quality of automotive products and promoting sustainable transportation.
