We are the Standards Organisation of Nigeria. We ensure that locally manufactured products in Nigeria give the required degree of satisfaction to consumers through compliance with Government policies on standardisation and conformity assessment. We also ensure that goods imported into Nigeria meet the minimum requirements of Nigeria Industrial Standards or any other approved international standards. We do all these to improve the lives of people through quality assurance and standards having branches in the following states in Nigeria Abuja, Abia, Adamawa, Akwa-Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Benue, Borno, Cross-River, Edo, Enugu, Gombe, Imo, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos, Niger, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Plateau and Rivers.

    Today, the Director General of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria(SON), Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwunonso Okeke, met with Mr. Zheng Xiaopeng, National Executive Chairman of the Nigeria-China Business Council, to strengthen Nigeria-China relations. Key discussions focused on improving product quality, boosting bilateral trade, and advancing Nigeria’s industrial growth, all in alignment with the President’s development agenda. This collaboration also aligns with the objectives of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), reinforcing efforts to enhance Nigeria’s ease of doing business and drive economic reform. As part of our mandate, the Standards Organisation of Nigeria remains committed to promoting and facilitating free trade through the establishment and enforcement of quality standards that elevate Nigeria's global competitiveness.
