GIRLS’ VISION FOR THE FUTURE Antonio Guterres says "The courage, hope and determination of girls are a force to be reckoned with". Dear Girl Child, It's time for you to step up and help transform your vision and aspirations into reality. Stand up, stand strong. Don't be scared to shatter glass ceilings of stereotypes and limitations. Being a girl shouldn't limit what you can do, where you can go or who you can become. Your potentials are limitless. You are needed to profer solutions to world problems. The world needs to hear your voice. HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD. #TheNichub #Internationalgirlday

Today's session will mark it the 19th Class Day at Nichub Capacity Development Centre organized by Nicholas Alifa and a host of Professionals in the 30-Day Employability Bootcamp. What I have learnt so far?? 💥 Communication Skills Needed For Employment 💥 Technical Skills Needed for Employment 💥 LinkedIn Optimization 💥 Professional Resume, CV and CL Writing 💥 Job Search Techniques 💥 Confidently Acing your Interview Sessions 💥 Elevator Pitch: How to Introduce Yourself My Moral Lesson. Massive knowledge to gain if you only take time to study. I made a decision this year to be intentional; "I don't just want to say I know it, I wanted to be sure I know it". This Bootcamp has made me realize how much I don't know, and how much I can know on what I already know. So I have been doing a lot of learning, relearning and unlearning. What do I Expect in the Remaining 11 Days of This Bootcamp? Nothing short of VALUE that I have received so far. I am already geared up for a wonderful Professional CV, Resume and CL Drafting. I am also ready to confidently take on all my Interviews because I now understand what it takes to be successful before a Panel. Thank you Nichub Capacity Development Centre Thank you Nicholas Alifa for the opportunity. I have stories of how you've impacted my life and I will share it very soon. You wrote a book in 2020 (Goal Setting for the Next Decade - That was Another Mind Shift for me) My fellow Bootcampers and I do not in any way take this GOLDEN opportunity for granted. P.S. There is nothing you can't achieve less your mind isn't at it! I knew I was a consistent person when I realized I won't allow a day go without operating my phone 😁 #nichub #employabilitybootcamp #30days

The training sessions of the 30 Days Employability Bootcamp concluded yesterday. The final week of the training sessions has been nothing short of thought-provoking and enriching. We kicked off with “Presentation Skills” by Omolola Lipede, where she emphasized the importance of understanding your audience. A major takeaway for me was her insight that PowerPoint is called PowerPoint, not Power Paragraph; a reminder to keep presentations concise and avoid text-heavy slides. Another mind-blowing session was delivered by Febechi ️Obi on “Understanding the Why and How of Interview Sessions." She walked us through the different types of interviews and the best strategies to tackle each one. My biggest takeaway was recognizing that interviews are not just for employers to assess you, they are also an opportunity for you to learn more about the organization. Things got even more exciting when Mr Nicholas Alifa, a Co-Founder and Executive Director of Nichub Capacity Development Centre led sessions on “Building Confidence: Overcoming Interview Anxiety” and “The Perfect Elevator Pitch: How to Introduce Yourself.” He stressed that confidence is built on knowledge, stating, “Everyone is confident about things they know well.” He also clarified what confidence is and what it is not. Other invaluable sessions included “Acing Technical Interviews” by Mr Victor Ogunleye, “Dressing and Presenting for Success: Professional Etiquette” by Damilola Olayinka Odedey, and “Understanding Workplace Politics and Promotions” by Rotanna Onyedi GRP, CCP, AGRP Onyedi. In all, I will confidently say that a lot has been given for free! And I don't take it for granted. I eagerly look forward to what the remaining 8 days of the program have in store.
