Speaking on how the energy transition can be financed while ensuring global energy security at the Future Investment Initiative, our President/Group CEO, Owen Omogiafo OON, emphasised that the energy transition is a luxury we cannot afford without first addressing energy poverty. We are committed to bridging this gap by investing in innovative technologies and optimising our existing energy sources. #AfricaAtFII8 #EnergySufficiency #TranscorpTransforms

At the HERizon Summit at the Future Investment Initiative today, our President/GCEO highlighted how women are key to driving sustainable supply chains. “Energy is a catalyst for development, peace, and growth. We are seeing a rising interest from women in the energy sector, largely due to more women pursuing careers in science and a strong focus on women’s empowerment. Our Chairman, Tony O. Elumelu, C.F.R engaged in an insightful conversation with Eleni Giokos, Anchor & Correspondent at CNN, during his plenary session at the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh today. He emphasised the urgent need to invest in Africa’s youth, sharing how his journey was shaped by opportunity and 'luck.' “I am a product of luck, and because of this luck, I needed to prioritise these young Africans, invest in them, invest in their future, give them economic opportunities and the luck I had growing up” he shared. With over 60% of Africa’s population under 30, turning “luck” into real, tangible opportunities for our youth is crucial. At Transcorp, we believe the private sector must play a vital role in paving the way for young people to succeed. This is why we are committed to empowering the next generation through our investments and partnerships to realise their potential and drive Africa’s transformation.
