The power of education goes beyond the classroom, and our School Outreach Sub-Project has demonstrated just that. Through this initiative, a sub-team of participants from the Safe Communities Project delivered an important training and awareness session to students of Ife Girls’ High School, Ile-Ife. ✨ By tackling topics like healthy relationships, consent, and body autonomy, we aimed to provide young students with the tools they need to protect themselves and make informed choices. It’s amazing to see the next generation taking such an active role in shaping a safer, more inclusive future. Here’s to creating safer environments and brighter futures! ❤️ #ProjectSafeCommunities #YSC #EndSGBV #VARSHProjects #SchoolOutreach #TheNigeriaWeWant

We believe that the strongest change often comes from within the community itself, and that’s why our Peer Education program has been a huge success! ✨ With support from dedicated young leaders, we launched this initiative as part of the Safe Communities Project, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to educate their peers on critical issues like gender-based violence, sexual health, and safety. These youth advocates went above and beyond, sharing life-saving information, fostering safe spaces, and inspiring their peers to take action. We’re incredibly proud of the impact they’ve made, showing that young people are not just the future; they are the NOW! ❤️ Let’s celebrate their hard work, and remember, education is power. Together, we can create safe communities. 🤝🏾 #ProjectSafeCommunities #YSC #EndSGBV #VARSHProjects #PeerEducation #TheNigeriaWeWant

On October 16th, we had the privilege of hosting a powerful virtual session with 60 female students from Fountain of Grace International College, Emene, Enugu, to mark the International Day of the Girl Child. The webinar, "Girls as Advocates for a Violence-Free Future," was led by our Executive Director, Salvation Grace Aworanti, and focused on empowering young girls to take a stand against gender-based violence (GBV). The session was a success, with participants inspired by stories of young changemakers and equipped with the tools to challenge societal norms. By the end of the event, the message was clear – girls have the power to lead the fight for a world free from violence. Grateful to the school management and the students for their participation and engagement in this important conversation! ✨ #EndGBV #InternationalDayOfTheGirlChild #VARSHPrograms
