  • 🚀 Join Veridaq: Empowering Careers with Verifiable Work References! We’ve listened to hiring managers and the message is clear: employers are no longer just looking for skill assessments. What they value most are real-world examples of how candidates apply their skills. 🌟 That’s why at Veridaq, we’re shifting focus from traditional skill assessments to verifiable work and appraisal references. This offers deeper insights into a candidate’s performance, culture fit and ability to thrive in specific work environments. I had an interesting time sharing with the Association of Business Education Students, University of Lagos at the Ignite Symposium I touched on important key areas at my panel session 1. Uncertain times are important to unlock our curiosity and creativity. If we knew tomorrow fully, then it would be meaningless. What makes us get up each day is the idea that we don’t know what the next day holds for us. So we try to arrest this ignorance through strategic planning. Building a company in uncertain times helps to unlock creativity and innovation. 2. The system does not owe you a job because you graduated with whatever class. The market responds to skills and competency, not degrees. Graduate students must never have this entitlement that a job is waiting for them to grab it. As as student, you must spend time building usable and transferable skills I remember sharing that I had my first CV in 200L because I had volunteered and interned at different establishments. We erroneously assume that we need a job to build experience. What we need is work. It’s called “Work Experience”. You don’t need a job to build experience, just find some work and build the experience you need. I came out of university with 6 years work experience (my mum was my first employer before I got into university and I built skills like customer experience, sales management, communication, branding and marketing) I had a good time speaking here The Strategist
