Today is World Mental Health Day! Let's break the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage open conversations. Mental health matters just as much as physical health. Reach out to a friend, family member, or mental health professional if you're struggling. You are not alone. Share your story, listen with empathy, and let's support each other. As we look forward to #worldmentalhealthday on the 10th October, I reflect back to the month of August that had me sharing my expertise on "Teenage Mental Health and Mental Laziness" at Teenpreneur Academy. Equipping teens with vital skills and awareness has always been my area of focus. Some of the key takeaways during that lecture were: - Recognizing signs of mental health challenges - Breaking cycles of mental laziness - Building resilience and coping strategies - Fostering supportive networks I'll always be grateful for the opportunity to inspire, educate and empower our future leaders! #wumsycares #childadvocate #teenmentor #mentalhealthadvocate #teenpreneuracademy #mentalhealthmatters #teenagewellness #empowermentthrougheducation WUMSY CARES FOUNDATION

As part of our area of focus and in line with SDG 4, we joined Rotary Club of PH Cosmopolitan in her "Back to School" Project. distributing bags of textbooks, workbooks and exercise books to all students of the Special Needs School for the disabled, including the adult education section. Most of these students don't have books to adequately participate in their studies that will enable them attain their full potential. It was sad to see a lot of the students were absent as a result of the high cost of transportation further widening the literacy gap. The joy on their faces and that of their teachers were indescribable. All thanks to RP Yvonne Iwo-Brown PhD CStragMP and her club for putting smiles on their faces. Until the next....
