Last week prior to the 3x3 World Tour Amsterdam we hosted an inspiring conference on the social impact of sport, bringing our national and international network together. 🌍👥 The focus? How sport can drive real change in communities, from promoting gender equality to improving mental health and boosting youth employability. 🚀 A powerful message came from @Iris Workum, who led a workshop on mental health, stating, “If you are mentally well off, you utilize your own potential more and are more likely to look out for others. That is what we need in society.” 💪✨ We also explored how 3X3 Unites uses basketball to develop young leaders and build future prospects. As Maxi Sellering put it, “We bring together the worlds of elite sport and social programs to give young people the chance to discover their talents.” 🌱🔥 This conference highlighted the incredible role sport can play in shaping a brighter future. W&H Sports B.V. and GreenMatter B.V. facilitate 3x3 basketball with a unique 3x3 basketball court In collaboration with their supplier, W&H Sports (collaboration partner of 3x3 Unites) and GreenMatter have developed a unique 3x3 basketball court floor. The GreenMatter modular tile from which the floor was laid consists of 50% recycled raw materials from worn artificial turf fields. This new sports floor has now been put into use by Sportbedrijf Arnhem at sports centre Valkenhuizen. There, a worn out artificial grass pitch has made way for a 3x3 basketball court, allowing the Municipality of Arnhem to process part of their waste in a circular way. The recycled court meets all the playing characteristics for a challenging 3x3 game.
