We have a new sorting machine at our ornamentals location! 🤩 This machine transplants cyclamen cuttings from a 264-plug to an 84-plug. The cuttings are sorted by size: the larger cuttings are kept, while the smaller and empty plugs are removed. The machine uses both a color camera and an infrared camera. The infrared function provides added reliability when sorting cyclamen cuttings, while the color camera is useful for other crops, such as begonias. 🌱 Curious about how the machine works? Brassica season has started! 🥬 The first 8cm press pots with cauliflower young plants are delivered at our customer Tolpoort Vegetables in The Netherlands! These young plants are sown at our production location in Lutjebroek in week 45 and are carefully packed with a border around the crate to protect the plant. 💚 In this video you can see how the cauliflower plants are planted by our customer.
