In Norway, Circmar's home base, fish exports are steadily increasing. This means millions of trips involving single-use pallets and boxes, which leave a significant environmental footprint. Circmar introduces a groundbreaking circular and sustainable approach to packaging and transporting seafood with CIRCpall and CIRCbox, offering reusable solutions to tackle this issue. 𝐀 𝐫𝐞𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 A reuse system is essential to making this work. The reuse model operates as a service concept: Instead of buying, companies rent the necessary pallets and boxes, use them in their production process, and after delivery, Circmar collects, cleans, disinfects, and redistributes the packaging. To effectively manage a circular system, reliable digitalisation and smart software are crucial. In the past months, Toon de Jong & Timo Immerzeel collaborated with 35 industry experts and hosts from PwC, GS1 Nederland, Cirmar, and SRC System Integrators B.V. to develop a bluepaper on how to implement a Digital Product Passport (DPP).
