📢🚢 𝖡𝗈𝗅𝗎𝖽𝖺 𝖳𝗈𝗐𝖺𝗀𝖾 𝗌𝗍𝖺𝗋𝗍𝗌 𝗈𝗉𝖾𝗋𝖺𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇𝗌 𝗂𝗇 𝖯𝗎𝖾𝗋𝗍𝗈 𝖢𝗈𝗋𝗍é𝗌 (𝖧𝗈𝗇𝖽𝗎𝗋𝖺𝗌) ➡️ This port enclave, located in the north of the country, on the Caribbean coast, is one of the largest and best equipped in the region and the only deep-water port in Central America.  🚢 Boluda's fleet in Honduras is made up of three powerful tugs with ASD propulsion named VB KUKULKAN, VB BRIBON and VB CHIHUAHUA. The first two of these were recently built by Damen Shipyards and comply with the IMO's (International Maritime Organization) strict TIER III regulations on reducing emissions for marine engines, making them the first tugs with this environmental qualification to operate in Honduras. Our tugboats, VB TRITON and VB TANNAT, were on hand to assist with the docking, ensuring a safe operation. 🌊The ship will remain in port until Sunday, March 9th, before departing for its next destination: #Punta Arenas, Chile, arriving on March 20th. 🚢 𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘸 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘷𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘚𝘦𝘢!   ➡️ On the morning of January 10, our team in Germany received an urgent alert: the MT Eventin was drifting off the island of Rügen, at risk of running aground as a storm approached. These are the moments that tugboat operators prepare for; where training meets unpredictability!   While #VBBremenFighter secured the situation on behalf of the Central Command for 🌊Maritime Emergencies (Havariekommando), the only available tugs to move the tanker to safety were those chartered to Deutsche ReGas (DRG).   In an impressive show of professionalism and collaboration, the DRG team managed the complex task of balancing their LNG terminal safety obligations in #Mukran with the release of two tugs. Our crews and the DRG team worked together for 3 nights to ensure a successful and safe salvage.   A huge thank you to both our teams and the DRG team for their commitment to maritime safety. A good example of the power of teamwork in facing an emergency assitance. Our #BoludaTowage fleet played a key role in assisting with its undocking maneuvers, contributing to this memorable voyage. ➡️🚢This stop in Santa Cruz de Tenerife holds particular significance, as it marks the first visit of Juan Sebastián de Elcano to this port since 1987. That year, King Felipe VI, then a young naval cadet, was aboard the ship. Our #BoludaTowage fleet in Cádiz will assist in its undocking maneuvers, ensuring a smooth start to this great expedition. 👸🏼 A very special highlight of this voyage is the presence of a distinguished crew member: Princess Leonor, daughter of King Felipe VI and the future Queen of Spain. As part of her military training, she will experience life aboard this 113-meter sailing ship, immersing herself in the naval tradition. 🌎 After its first stop in Las Palmas (January 21–23), Juan Sebastián de Elcano will chart an ambitious course through Latin America, reaching New York at the beginning of June.
