Builders is a Rotterdam-based startup studio that focuses on shaping the future of work building software companies that create a more fulfilling and sustainable life for the globalised generation. We combine thoroughly validated market trends with top-of-class entrepreneurs and our internal expertise in marketing, product development, HR, finance, design, and technology to build SaaS companies for Europe and beyond.
We started our life as We are Builders, a corporate venture builder in 2015. As we grew, we wanted to be part of every step of the venture-building process - from validation to scaling- hence, we shifted to becoming an independent studio as Builders in 2020.

Right now is the peak time to be Alive (and to Build an even better Future)
Grab a glass of plant-based milk, because I’m about to hit you with some spicy takes 🌶️. (dipped in cringe, apparently)
Despite what the doomsday clock, your Boomer neighbor, or Greta Thunberg might say, right now is the best time to be alive in history. (Except maybe for when Jurassic Park, The Lion King, and Pulp Fiction dropped in 12 months time – we might never top that)
There, I said it – and I’ll double down: It’s only going to get better in the future.
My point? The average person in today’s world has access to magic a medieval king couldn’t even dream of: unlimited energy, food on demand, even hyperspeed travel – We are putting people on the moon and make it look easy!
That isn’t to say we live inside some flawless utopia. There’s work to be done. We have our own Godzilla-sized dragons to slay – Our planet is spinning out of control, inequality is on the rise, and apparently it’s OK to bomb children’s hospitals now?
OK, maybe the dinosaur era was best, and we’re a close second. The difference between us and dinosaurs (aside from opposable thumbs) is that we can see our comet coming. We have the ability to choose to do something about it.
Here’s the ick, though: The vast majority of people would rather use those thumbs for twiddling and tweeting, than taking action. Comfort is a self-built cage – A gilded and cozy one, until you realise you're stuck with it.
Romantic as it sounds, we cannot afford to Netflix and chill our way to Armageddon. Passively liking or sharing IG reels inside your echo-chamber is not going to cut it anymore either. The time for talk is over. Talk is cheap, and writing is talk printed. Protests are talk amplified.
Hard truth? True innovation and disruption do not happen around bean bags and ping pong tables. In venture building 32-Hour work weeks are called summer camp. (I warned you about the spice, didn’t I).
We can't afford to be spectators in our own future. To echo Marc Andreessen: “It is time to build.”
We need the hackers coding in basements after dark, the kids mowing lawns and running lemonade stands on the weekends, the moms working double jobs to raise good men, and the visionaries pitching and pursuing unicorns – to lead us down a different path.

As of last Monday I’ve joined Builders Studio as a Co-Owner and MD, on their mission to empower entrepreneurs to build stellar companies. I believe entrepreneurship – of any kind, and any size – is the key to solving the world’s problems.
I’m not humbled. I’m not honoured. Too many of those around already. I am fired up.
And in case you’re wondering – this is just the prologue.
✨ At our venture studio, we believe in the magic of teamwork. While some think being a solo founder is the way to go, we’ve found that "Alone you can go faster, but together you can go further" is a much better mantra.
For Everday, we wanted to ensure the perfect partners came together right from the start.
Finding the right co-founder is more complex than finding a friend; it's about aligning life stages, motivations, and strengths. This is where Builders, our venture studio, excels. By inviting CTOs in residence to collaborate with Entrepreneurs in Residence, we facilitate potential matches in vision and working style. This is how Estefania Hernandez and Dylan Moerland met. Both share a passion for the future of skill-based decision-making companies and a drive to change the world.
🔥 Estefania Hernandez was raised in a family of entrepreneurs, gaining early insights into the business world from her jeweler father. Starting with a candy stand and homemade jewelry sales in elementary school, she later launched Food Bazar in university. Though it closed after six months, the lessons learned were invaluable. Inspired by Sara Blakely’s determination and success, Eastef’s entrepreneurial spirit only grew stronger.
🦁 Dylan Moerland grew up in a family of engineers, sparking a lifelong passion for building and coding from an early age. Influenced by Adam Savage of 'MythBusters' and later mentored by Daniel Siahaya, the CEO of his former company, Dylan learned the importance of hands-on science, empathy in leadership, and tackling challenges head-on. His consulting career and diverse industry experiences prepared him well for his entrepreneurial leap.
🙌 The Founders' Journey Together:
Estef and Dylan didn’t become co-founders overnight. At our studio, they underwent compatibility tests, personality insights, and deep conversations about their experiences and beliefs. Getting to know each other on a personal level, including meeting families and friends, was crucial.
This process was like putting together a puzzle 🧩. Each piece brought them closer to the complete picture. When the last piece fell into place, they knew they were ready.
Now, as founders of Everday, Estefania and Dylan are moving forward with their exciting journey. We at Builders are thrilled to support them and can't wait to share more about their story in the coming weeks and months.
