Deze maand hebben we weer een fantastische hackathon gehad, dit keer over Polars, georganiseerd door Reinier! 💻 🚀 Het was een dag vol energie en innovatie, waarin er samengewerkt werd aan slimme data-oplossingen met dit krachtige framework. Tussen de brainstormsessies door genoten we van een heerlijke lunch, en om de dag goed af te sluiten, speelden we een potje Mario Kart en aten we verrukkelijk Indiaas. Upcoming Codebeez-hackathon: Polars for Efficient Processing Structural Data in a Machine Learning Use Case 💻 💡 Wednesday October the 2nd we dive into Polars, a powerful DataFrame Python library with a highly efficient, multi-threaded implementation in Rust in using Apache Arrow. You will hack your way through at least the following topics: * Reading and writing large datasets from and into Parquet files * Using Polars for data analysis and visualisation * Lazy loading of data and lazy evaluation of queries in Polars * Migration from Pandas and speed comparisons between the two * Training a neural network with preprocessing performed using Polars Register via Meetup: https://lnkd.in/e2AHyvPE

Afgelopen donderdag hadden wij onze office dag bij Beelease! 🌿🐝 We begonnen de dag met een interessante presentatie van Dirk over de bijen en hun belangrijke rol in ons ecosysteem. Super leerzaam en ontzettend leuk! Na de sessie genoten we van een heerlijke lunch, verzorgd door Manja van De Tuin van Eten. Om de dag af te sluiten, hebben we een verrukkelijk driegangenmenu gegeten bij Pof. Pof maakt gebruik van lokale ingrediënten en seizoensproducten uit de streek. Teamuitje! 🌟 Onlangs zijn we met een aantal collega's naar de Heineken Experience in Amsterdam geweest. Wat een leuke ervaring! Another Codebeez Hackathon! Micro or not, every mistake can be big enough to be fatal. Result: a burned display. Happy it was not cause of our MicroPython coding skills, but messing up the cable wiring does not help either we learned. :-) Our guests and Beez had an entertaining day building hardware sets using Raspberry Pi Pico, Breadbords, all kinds of sensors, displays and MicroPython. Also useful for home automation. Special thanks to Mate Toth the community manager of todays Hackathon location @beyond Republica Campus for hosting the Beez.
