Geweldig nieuws voor Concertgebouworkest Young! Met grote dankbaarheid verwelkomen we de Ebiqs Foundation als hoofdbegunstiger. Dankzij hun genereuze steun kunnen we de komende vijf jaar blijven investeren in dit unieke jeugdorkest en nog meer verborgen talenten uit heel Europa een transformerende ervaring bieden. Deze samenwerking voelt als een perfecte match. In de woorden van Ebiqs Foundation oprichters Roelien Brommersma & Wietse Mulder: "Omdat we weten wat het betekent om als donor het verschil te maken, ondersteunen we van harte Concertgebouworkest Young. We geloven in kansen en mogelijkheden en dat cultuur mensen verbindt. Door Young te ondersteunen, krijgen verborgen, muzikale talenten de mogelijkheid om hun talent en passie te realiseren." Anne Christin Erbe, directeur Foundation Concertgebouworkest, deelt onze blijdschap: "Wij zijn enorm blij met de steun van de Ebiqs Foundation. Hun visie sluit naadloos aan bij het doel van Young: jonge talenten laten groeien in een inspirerende, internationale omgeving. Dankzij deze samenwerking kunnen we de impact van Young nog verder vergroten en blijven bouwen aan de toekomst van de klassieke muziek." Concertgebouworkest Young is ons internationale jeugdorkest voor verborgen talenten van 14 tot en met 17 jaar. In augustus 2025 komen voor de vijfde keer tientallen jonge musici uit heel Europa samen. Onder leiding van musici van het Concertgebouworkest en Elim Chan groeien ze in enkele weken uit tot een orkest dat schittert op topniveau. Hun reis leidt hen naar Het Concertgebouw tijdens de VriendenLoterij ZomerConcerten, naar SAIL Amsterdam en naar de Hamburgse Elbphilharmonie. Young is alleen mogelijk dankzij de steun van vele particuliere schenkers, fondsen, stichtingen en corporate partners. We zijn trots dat de Ebiqs Foundation vanaf 2025 deze rol als hoofdbegunstiger vervult. Samen bouwen we aan de toekomst van de muziek!

Last week, we had the privilege of performing an incredibly diverse concert programme celebrating Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary. Together with mezzo-soprano Tania Kross, composer Calliope Tsoupaki, and conductor Bas Wiegers, among others, we explored the rich musical influences that reflect the diversity of our city’s heritage. A heartfelt thank you from our Managing Director Dominik Winterling to Astrid Helstone and Diederik Burgersdijk for making this unique programme possible. We were also honoured to welcome Greece’s Ambassador, Katerina Ghini, for this special occasion.

Today we celebrate International Women's Day! We are honoured and proud to have worked with so many masterful female conductors, composers, soloists and musicians in the past. And we strive, with the help of our Leading Women in Music Fund, to broaden the scope in the future. This is an ongoing process that we remain committed to. We aim to achieve this by putting more women in the spotlight, increasing the number of inspiring role models, scouting and guiding talented women, and of course making productions with female conductors and composers possible. This was Annual Gala! A night that truly had everything: incredible music - thanks to all the musicians, Janine Jansen and Klaus Mäkelä - a riveting after party - thanks to Female Fusion, Fijne Deuntjes, New Hot Trio, and our cellists - and, most importantly the most incredible audience in the world. It was a celebration of music, and we thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts. See you next year at the Annual Gala 2026!
