𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Our River Cruiser casco has now been docked in the harbor for several months. From our office, we enjoy a beautiful view of this impressive vessel. While it may seem like little is changing from the outside, our project manager Johan Muilenburg invites us each month for a tour of the interior—and what a difference it makes! 🛳️ This week, it was time for another tour. We observed the skilled craftsmen carefully laying a rubber screed floor, which will later be covered with carpeting. This work demands absolute precision. 📏 In addition, significant milestones have been achieved: insulation has been installed, Metaglas windows fitted, various cables laid, and the Veth Thrusters successfully installed. 𝗖𝗗𝗦𝟰𝟭𝟭𝟱 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁 Our CDS4115 River Pusher, a state-of-the-art 5,400 HP tugboat, has safely arrived in the port of Rotterdam. This vessel, built by Concordia Damen, is part of a contract with Girona S.A., a leading shipowner and operator from Paraguay. The River Pusher will soon be transported to our yard in Werkendam for final outfitting. The CDS4115 River Pusher is specifically designed to operate on the Paraguay and Parana rivers, where low water levels during the dry season present significant challenges. With a draft of just 6.5 feet and powered by three robust Yanmar engines, this tugboat can operate year-round, even in the most demanding conditions. This new addition to Girona S.A.’s fleet enhances their ability to efficiently transport dry bulk goods along the 2,695 km-long Paraguay River. How to get an inland shipping vessel across the Atlantic? 🚢 Swipe to see semi-submersible transport vessel Yacht Express in action. For clients in Paraguay we arranged the transport of 2 vessels from the Netherlands to Bahia de Montevideo: dredger Taruma and 135m dry cargo ship Doña Margie (the latter now operated by Copanu S.A.), not your everyday project! The transport was also the end of a project that we’re very proud of, as the Taruma was not always a dredger. Together with Holland Shipyards Group the ship was converted from an inland navigation vessel to a dredger with a 1300 m³ hopper and a pumping capacity of 2500 m³ per hour.
