🚀 #ReactALL: Enhancing solvent retention with #SmartCap technology 🔬 A recent study on the ReactALL system, featuring SmartCap technology, has demonstrated its ability to significantly reduce solvent evaporation, thus solving a major issue in maintaining consistency during experiments. The ReactALL system is an advanced platform for chemical reaction screening, featuring #SmartCap technology to reduce solvent evaporation, with automated sampling, quenching, and dilution for streamlined HPLC vial transfer and high-quality data. 🔬 Key Findings: ➡️ Assessment without sampling: THF was heated under reflux for 20 hours in sealed reactors with no solvent loss, demonstrating the system's efficiency in static conditions. ➡️ Assessment with repeated sampling: Multiple solvents, including MTBE, THF, ethyl acetate, and toluene, were heated to their boiling points with 16 samples taken. Minimal solvent loss (2.1% to 6.6%) was observed, except for MTBE, which had a 13% loss. The retention performance during active sampling highlights how SmartCap technology preserves solvent integrity and prevents evaporation, ensuring precise concentration control for improved reproducibility and accuracy in reaction profiling. 🚀 ReactALL: Ensuring reproducibility with automated sampling 🚀 Reproducibility is a cornerstone of successful chemical process scale-up, ensuring that representative aliquots are consistently achieved. The #ReactALL system is an advanced platform for chemical reaction screening, featuring #SmartCap technology with automated sampling, quenching, and dilution for streamlined HPLC vial transfer and high-quality data. We highlight a recently conducted study by a research team at Pfizer, comparing manual and automated sampling methods, and the results speak for themselves. 🔬 Key Findings: ➡️ Homogeneous System: A solution of diphenyl ether in acetonitrile was agitated in five reactors at 500 rpm and 25°C. ReactALL’s automated sampling showed consistent UPLC-MS data with a residual standard deviation of 0.8%-1.5%, closely matching manual sampling (1.4%), confirming its precision and reproducibility. ➡️ Heterogeneous System: A mixture of diphenyl ether and sodium tosylate in toluene was tested under similar conditions. Automated and manual samples yielded nearly identical results, proving the effectiveness of ReactALL in handling both soluble and insoluble components. #ReactALL: The Future of Reaction Screening! 🌟 We’re excited to share the latest publication, “The ReactALL Platform: Experimental Data and Case Studies”, authored by Joel M. Hawkins, David Pfisterer, Russell F. Algera, and Sebastien Monfette from Pfizer. The Technobis ReactALL platform bridges the gap between route scouting and process optimization, providing an unparalleled solution for small-scale, scale-predictive experimentation in drug development. It features SmartCap™ automated sampling, mechanical agitation, independent temperature control, and real-time visual data capture, ideal for early-stage processes. In the study, ReactALL’s performance was evaluated across four key case studies: ➡ Solvent Retention: Characterized solvent retention across various organic solvents at their boiling points, both with and without sampling. ➡ Sampling Reproducibility: Assessed the consistency and homogeneity of sampling in both homogeneous and heterogeneous mixtures. ➡ Reaction Time Profiles: Compared time profiles for a heterogeneous amine alkylation reaction using ReactALL, a commercial reactor (50-100 mL) with mechanical agitation, and vials agitated with stir bars. ➡ Rapid Determination of Activation Parameters: Utilized the platform’s parallelization and sampling capabilities to gain insights into a model nucleophilic aromatic substitution reaction. We believe ReactALL will revolutionize the drug development process by streamlining early-stage experimentation and delivering highly scale-relevant data.
