We are delighted to celebrate The Hoxton, Florence, which opened its doors earlier this month. This hotel is the second for the brand in Italy, following the launch of The Hoxton, Rome in 2021 which we were also delighted to be part of. This unique hotel, located in the historical centre of Florence, has 161 rooms split across two buildings: a 16th century late-Renaissance palazzo, and a 1980s Andrea Branzi-designed building. The property also features a brand new "House" category for guests who can choose to stay in a self-contained 3-bedroom, 4-bathroom apartment with its own kitchen, dining and lounge. Alassio, a coastal-inspired Italian restaurant, and Enoteca Violetta, a vibrant, laidback wine bar, as well as two dedicated event spaces, complete the facilities at this beautiful new hotel. Cumming Group UK & Europe acted as Technical Due Diligence Consultant, Project Manager, Cost Manager and Site Co-ordination throughout the project. A big thank you to our dedicated team who completed this fantastic project. How do you deliver a successful hospitality project that provides value at every stage of its life cycle? That was the big question at yesterday’s Devil’s Advocate event, where David Beale Hospitality Sector Lead, took part in this fantastic discussion. We're looking forward to the full write-up in the coming weeks.
How do you deliver a successful hospitality project that provides value for all during the project life cycle? Yesterday at our Devil’s Advocate event, we had a brilliant discussion about just that. One word to sum it all up? “Upfront”: - Getting all the right people - architects, engineers, contractors and specialists - involved right from the start saves costs and avoids pain further down the line. - Build extra time into the start of a programme to conduct thorough due diligence and again at the design development stage to save time later on in the development. - Identifying risks upfront and being clear about who has responsibility over what elements of the project is so important. - Strong team relationships matter from the start. This will enable more honest conversations when challenges arise. A huge thank you to our speakers and everyone who joined us to contribute to such an insightful discussion! We’ll be sharing a full write up in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime we’ve got some great photos from the morning: https://lnkd.in/eJ9QcfKN Credit: Event Video Specialists📸 What stuck with you most from the conversation? Thanks for having us Sea Containers London | Lore Group.
