🚫 Last week, Google announced a shift in its strategy for deprecating third-party cookies. The original plan was to phase out the browser feature by the end of 2024, Google will now continue to support third-party cookies for the foreseeable future. 🔑 Key conclusions:   - Third-party choice: Users will get a choice between enabling or disabling third-party cookies on a browser level. - First-party remains king: Although the phase-out of third-party cookies will be longer than initially thought, we do believe the future is focused on first-party insights and activations. - Browser differences grow: Google’s approach differs from other browsers, both with handling third-party cookies and implementing the privacy sandbox, increasing the impact of browser choice. ✅ Stay up-to-date:   Digital Power considers it vital to ensure the information we present as a partner is up-to-date.
