Over ons

Our vision: “To redefine our sport through cooperation and innovation: Keep Challenging.” All of us face challenges in our daily lives - big and small. All of us are continually challenged by those around us - our colleagues, friends or families. Like no other we at Team dsm-firmenich PostNL face challenges each and every day, big ones and small ones, by all members of the team. That one important race or coming back from injury… requiring hours and hours of blood, sweat and tears. Be it our scientists creating intelligent performance plans or working on complicated R&D projects, our logistical nightmares of up to five programs racing at different places in the world, or building our own campus and headquarters…We always Keep Challenging. Keep Challenging is about pursuing dreams and not accepting the status quo. We need to be the world champions of team work, of pushing the boundaries of science and technology to make our gear faster, calculations more accurate, training more effective and nutrition more optimal. It’s this vision, the plan and an incredible group of people that help us continue to build a sustainable future for our team, while performing at the top of our capabilities, on and off the bike. ONE TEAM Our WorldTour Men program, WorldTour Women program and a Development program all operate under the same umbrella. We are one collective, all using the same Keep Challenging approach, together under one name and one distinctive two-striped kit: Team dsm-firmenich PostNL. • 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐝𝐬𝐦-𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐍𝐋 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐕𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐚 𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐁𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 Team dsm-firmenich PostNL continued their brilliant August this afternoon, powering to a sensational sprint win in Sevilla with Pavel Bittner at the Vuelta a España; their Men’s program’s 19th win of the season so far. Full of confidence after good showings and teamwork in the previous sprint opportunities where fast finisher Bittner claimed sixth and fifth, Team dsm-firmenich PostNL were motivated to go all-in for the sprint once again. A relatively controlled stage followed with a two rider break allowed to escape from the roll-out without any big fight, before the sprint teams took over in reeling them back in throughout the afternoon. Coming into Sevilla the action was as hot as the temperature, but Team dsm-firmenich PostNL kept their cool, bringing Bittner into a great position in the final kilometre. Opening up a savagely strong sprint effort, Bittner kicked hard and held on to take an epic and well-deserved victory; and his first ever Grand Tour stage success. The win with Bittner also marks a special occasion for Team dsm-firmenich PostNL, who have now taken 15 wins with riders promoted from their Development program in the 2024 campaign alone. 🇬🇧🔗https://lnkd.in/e7FBKWPY 🇳🇱🔗https://lnkd.in/evQkGGaw #KeepChallenging #LaVuelta24

  • 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐲 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 An often unsung hero of the team, Chris Hamilton is a staple of many a Grand Tour squads where his calmness and decisive action make him a great road captain. Embarking on his 12th Grand Tour at #LaVuelta24, we caught up with Hamo, as he's affectionately known to find out what makes him tick as one of the important cogs that keeps the guys on the road rolling! 🔗https://lnkd.in/ejuUnXjg ✍🏻 Daniel Benson #KeepChallenging

Team dsm-firmenich PostNL worked brilliantly as a unit throughout the stage with the dual goal of keeping their GC placings safe, but with a view of setting up the fast-finishing Lund Andresen for the finale. The break rode well together however and with the stage win potentially hanging in the balance, it required a strong chase from Alex Edmondson initially to keep things in check as they approached the local lap circuit before Warren Barguil took over. From there, Frank van den Broek and Sean Flynn helped to keep the guys safe before Nils Eekhoff did a phenomenal last pull as final lead-out man, creating a high tempo on the rise before the line to string things out. Lund Andresen expertly followed the wheels and chose his moment to launch perfectly, coming around the opposition with a devastating kick, where he could sit up and celebrate the team’s second win of the race so far; and the Men’s program’s 17th of the season. 🇬🇧🔗https://lnkd.in/ezH9m_YA 🇳🇱🔗https://lnkd.in/eUbt3s2h Photo Credit: Dan Møller #KeepChallenging #PNDKR24

On Tuesday, the Tour de France Femmes continued their Grand Départ in the Netherlands, as the peloton made an exciting stop in Rotterdam. We had the pleasure of hosting another fantastic hospitality event for our valued partners. The day was packed with thrilling moments, as we witnessed the sprint victory of our own Charlotte Kool in the morning and the tense time trial at the iconic Boompjes in Rotterdam later that afternoon.   The day began on a memorable note with Charlotte securing her and the Team’s second victory of the Tour de France Femmes. Wearing the yellow jersey she had claimed the day before, Charlotte’s win added an extra layer of excitement to the event.   After the first stage, our event continued with an extensive lunch at The Villy Works | Co-Work Space | Rotterdam, where our guests enjoyed great food and company. A highlight of the lunch break was a Q&A with our Head of Coaching, Rudi Kemna, who shared valuable insights on how to optimally motivate and prepare our riders for peak performance.   We were thrilled to have several of our partners present, including dsm-firmenich, PostNL, nexeye, Unigarant, Shell & Attentives. Their presence and unwavering support were instrumental in the success of the event, just as their continued commitment is vital to our team's achievements.   A special moment for our guests was the opportunity to meet and interact with our talented riders Francesca Barale and Becky Storrie. They generously shared their experiences from the time trial, which we closely observed near the finish line earlier, offering a unique perspective on what it takes to compete at this elite level.   We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our partners and guests for making this day truly unforgettable. We are already looking forward to our next event!   #KeepChallenging    Photos: Jeffrey Wiese

  • 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐝𝐬𝐦-𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐍𝐋 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲; 𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐊𝐨𝐨𝐥 Getting the Tour de France Femmes underway in incredible fashion, Team dsm-firmenich PostNL took charge of the day, riding as a unit, before setting-up fast finisher Charlotte Kool for the finale. Kool showed all of her power and unleashed a monstrous sprint, lapping up the plaudits as she crossed the line victorious in The Hague; as the team moves into the race lead and the famous yellow jersey. This comes just after the Men’s program did exactly the same with Romain Bardet taking a fantastic stage win and first yellow jersey at the men’s Tour de France. Always set to be a sprint finale, Team dsm-firmenich PostNL rode a smart race, making sure that they were at the front when they needed to be to stay out of danger, whilst not wasting any unnecessary energy. Coming into the closing ten kilometres the pace and nervousness went up but the team kept a cool head, holding onto the right side of the road as they navigated the twists and turns of the city streets. Expertly positioned by the whole team, Kool followed the rest of the squad as they charged under the flamme rouge, before she sensed her moment to go all-out once the last turn by the team was finished. Launching early, no-one was able to match Kool who romped home to the victory by several bike lengths; raising her arms in jubilation as she crossed the line. It marks a historic day for Team dsm-firmenich PostNL, as the team will proudly wear the yellow jersey for the second time this year; and is the first ever team in history to win the opening stage of the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes with their Men’s and Women’s programs. 🇬🇧🔗https://lnkd.in/eKZN7wtd 🇳🇱🔗https://lnkd.in/eQtAzhC7 #KeepChallenging #TDFF2024
