Over ons

Our vision: “To redefine our sport through cooperation and innovation: Keep Challenging.” All of us face challenges in our daily lives - big and small. All of us are continually challenged by those around us - our colleagues, friends or families. Like no other we at Team dsm-firmenich PostNL face challenges each and every day, big ones and small ones, by all members of the team. That one important race or coming back from injury… requiring hours and hours of blood, sweat and tears. Be it our scientists creating intelligent performance plans or working on complicated R&D projects, our logistical nightmares of up to five programs racing at different places in the world, or building our own campus and headquarters…We always Keep Challenging. Keep Challenging is about pursuing dreams and not accepting the status quo. We need to be the world champions of team work, of pushing the boundaries of science and technology to make our gear faster, calculations more accurate, training more effective and nutrition more optimal. It’s this vision, the plan and an incredible group of people that help us continue to build a sustainable future for our team, while performing at the top of our capabilities, on and off the bike. ONE TEAM Our WorldTour Men program, WorldTour Women program and a Development program all operate under the same umbrella. We are one collective, all using the same Keep Challenging approach, together under one name and one distinctive two-striped kit: Team dsm-firmenich PostNL. 𝗔 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲!   This weekend, the Tour de France peloton arrived in Nice as they completed the 2024 edition of the race. Once again, we had the opportunity to invite a nice group of partners to join us in Nice to spectate at the last stage's time trial.   To prepare everyone for what was coming, our Aerodynamics Expert Harm Ubbens gave an exciting presentation to explain what it takes to perform at your best in a time trial and which marginal gains are needed to make a difference.    The finish of the time trial in the city centre of Nice was something special. The crowd's energy and excitement were incredible, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. John Degenkolb also stopped by after his time trial to share his experiences and answer various questions from our guests.    We would like to thank our partners dsm-firmenich, PostNL, nexeye, Added Pharma, and MatchWornShirt for their enthusiastic participation and support.   We are already looking forward to our next event! 🚀   #KeepChallenging    Video: Jeffrey Wiese

A relatively calm day through the Belgian countryside saw a few breakaway groups come and go, but the peloton was always in control. Team dsm-firmenich PostNL grouped up well throughout the afternoon, helping to set the pace in the bunch but also conserving energy and keeping each other safe; all with a view of setting up Kool for the finale. Coming into the final five kilometres the breakaway was caught and those in the orange-stripes moved up well on the left-side of the road. Beginning to up the pace as the flamme rouge approached, the team stretched the bunch out and ensured that Kool was out of any danger or mishaps. With last lead-out lighting things up, she delivered Kool around the last bend inside 200 metres to go and from there Kool kicked on the pedals, putting her head down and powering to a fantastic win with Team dsm-firmeinch PostNL’s Women’s program. 🇬🇧🔗https://lnkd.in/eCKjPwTW 🇳🇱🔗https://lnkd.in/e6TYSi4A #KeepChallenging #BaloiseLT24

The task lying ahead of them was to ride the almost 190 kilometres and over 4200 metres of climbing in the small group, while ahead the peloton rode full-gas and never let up all stage. Their group didn't give up either, but as the day progressed and the searing sun beat down over the Pyrenees, the enormity of their task became clear. Already 30 minutes down at the foot of the final climb to Plateau de Beille, the group could only concede a further 20 minutes to stage winner Pogacar by the top of the ascent.  As a result it meant the group had to go full-gas and unfortunately suffering after all of his previous efforts and being 15 stages into his first Tour de France, Welten had to let go of the wheels. Equally encouraged by the team's following DS car and the many fans that lined the road, Welten heroically dug-deep and never gave-up as he tackled the last 11 kilometres of the climb alone. Battling the stinging gradients all the way to the finish an empty and emotional, rightfully so, Welten was embraced by Degenkolb and Eekhoff who had waited to applaud him over the line, and offer their words of solace to their teammate who left everything he had on that mountainside. 🇬🇧🔗https://lnkd.in/ejM-E9Zg 🇳🇱🔗https://lnkd.in/e-F22P6X Photo Credit: Cycling Images #KeepChallenging #TDF2024

  • 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐝𝐬𝐦-𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐍𝐋 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬, 𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐜 𝟏-𝟐 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐣𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 Producing a tactical masterclass on the opening day at the Tour de France, Team dsm-firmenich PostNL secured the stage win with a brilliant one-two through Romain Bardet and Frank van den Broek; moving into the famous yellow jersey with their incredible display. Beginning the day with a plan of being active and making sure to be in the break, Team dsm-firmenich PostNL were just that and ensured they were in every move. Eventually the elastic snapped and Frank van den Broek made the move in what was his first ever Tour de France stage. Riding well as a group, the break built up a good lead but the bunch upped the tempo and began to reduce the gap as they headed towards the majority of climbs in the finale. In the peloton, some strong support from the rest of the squad saw the climbers well positioned where Romain Bardet launched a stinging attack to bridge across to Van den Broek in the break, as per the days plan. The Team dsm-firmenich PostNL duo linked up, and rode admirably together, sharing the pace. Eventually they dropped the rest of the breakaway and forged on alone together at the head of the race. Giving everything for each other they kept fighting all the way to the line and they just about held off a charging peloton in a nail-biting finale. Romain Bardet crossed the line first in what is his last Tour de France while in his debut Grand Tour, Frank van den Broek took in second place after a superb ride. The team could sit up and celebrate an incredible victory and one built from pure teamwork and pure racing. With it, the team also moves into the famous yellow jersey ahead of tomorrow’s second stage with Bardet, whilst Van den Broek leads in the green and young rider competition. Next to that, Van den Broek also won the most combative rider for stage one.  Read more 🇬🇧🔗https://lnkd.in/ecbF4JGh Lees meer 🇳🇱🔗https://lnkd.in/e_dvsKCP #KeepChallenging #TDF2024
