We are pleased to announce that 170 graduates from 18 locations across Ireland have successfully completed the six-month Phase 2 of Enterprise Ireland's New Frontiers programme. This year’s National Networking Day at Mullingar Park Hotel included panels hosted by Conor Carmody, breakout sessions, and speeches from Kevin Sherry of Enterprise Ireland and Minister Peter Burke, who closed the event. Ireland has established itself as a leading global hub for fintech and financial services. To support the next generation of Irish fintech companies, Enterprise Ireland has partnered with MiddleGame Ventures on ÉireFin 2025, a four-day accelerator programme. This programme, which will be held at Trinity College Dublin from March 24 to 27, aims to help up to 12 early-stage Irish fintech start-ups by providing foundational learnings and mentoring. Applicant companies must be based in Ireland, export-focused, and on track to employ more than 10 people. Applications are open until this Friday, February 21. Novus Diagnostics, a Dublin-based medtech, aims to raise €12 million in its next funding round early next year. The funding will enable a large-scale test of its sepsis early detection system before its full release. Based in Dublin City University, Novus Diagnostics was founded by Kellie Adamson and Elaine Spain in 2020. The Enterprise Ireland x Roche Diagnostics UK & Ireland Masterclass programme, a nine-month series of masterclasses on topics relevant to early-stage diagnostics companies, is now at its halfway point. A recent panel discussion at University Hospital Limerick featured clinical laboratory leads in serology, infectious diseases, biochemistry, and haematology, moderated by John Glynn from Roche. The session saw strong engagement from participating companies, including Bluedrop Medical, Allworth Diagnostics, Head Diagnostics, and MetHealth. Key topics included procurement processes for the hospital, increasing demand for diagnostic testing, and IT integration challenges.

Kerry has announced a new Digital Centre of Excellence, at its Global Innovation Centre in Naas, Co Kildare. The new centre, which is designed to increase operational efficiencies and enhance customer connectivity, is being supported by a €7.5m grant from Enterprise Ireland. Kerry said the new centre will focus on driving enhanced business performance and productivity through digital enablement initiatives across operations, R&D, commercial activities, and global business services. Based in Grange Castle, the firm was founded by Lonan Byrne in 1987. The company has 35 staff and had revenue of €5 million last year.
