Registrations are now open for the 29th EAAP - European Association for Aviation Psychology "Human Factors in Flight Safety" initial training course to be held in Sitges, Spain from 13-17 May 2024. Alan Hobbs and I will conduct most of the 5-day classroom attendance course with a guest presentation on mental health and wellbeing in the aviation industry from our Portuguese colleague, clinical psychologist Catarina Cunha. The course will be held at the Hotel Calipolis in the delightful Catalan seaside town of Sitges, once again kindly hosted and supported by our flight safety partners Vueling Airlines. This training course is aimed at all aviation professionals working in or supporting civil or military aviation operations. Participants usually include a healthy mix of airline cabin crew, pilots, ATCOs, maintenance engineers, safety managers, psychologists, human factors managers, safety trainers, CRM Instructors, air safety investigators, aviation regulators and aspiring safety professionals. Those from other safety-critical domains such as maritime, rail, nuclear power and health care are also most welcome to attend. Discounted registration fees are available both to EAAP Members and to those who register and pay before 28 March 2024. Course numbers are limited so please register early to avoid disappointment. Further details can be found in the course information and registration brochure which can be downloaded from the EAAP website: #aviationsafety #humanfactors #flightsafety #aviationpsychology
