EPHNA (European Public Health Nutrition Alliance) is a network of European Nutrition Centers, set up in 2014. The members of the EPHNA are independent organizations, responsible for communication on nutrition, health and sustainability. EPHNA is the key player for nutrition communication by building a European alliance that facilitates the work of national partner-centres responsible for nutrition and health communication. This will lead to all Europeans being provided with the most adequate information on nutrition to maintain a healthy and active life. EPHNA currently has members from: Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Denmark, Bulgaria, Poland, Malta, Greece, Latvia, Ireland, Cyprus, the Netherlands, Czech Republic and Italy.

Thanks to all the EPHNA members who joined our annual meeting, both live and online! We had a fruitful day and moving forward with this incredible network of devoted and inspiring professionals! Thanks to Ana Rito, MMSc, PhD from CEIDSS and all of her wonderful colleagues for hosting the meeting and letting us feel so at home at you wonderful establishment! Thanks to Kremlin Wickramasinghe and his collega Olga Zhiteneva from WHO Regional Office for Europe for the interesting presentation on their work on policies to protect children from the harmful impact of food marketing. On the 27th of September our Cypriot member, Eliza Markidou, was part of a paneldiscussion at EuroHealthNet’s session "Europe’s unhealthy and unjust food systems - New policies to promote better food environments", which they organised during the "European Health Forum Gastein: shifting sands of health". In this session, some of the policies needed to transition towards a healthier food system that provides an equal opportunity for all to enjoy their right to nutritious food and health were explored.
