The Finnish Dutch Chamber of Commerce is glad to invite you to the FDCC event AI and Wellbeing event, where #entrepreneur and speaker Anna Häggblom, the founder of AveoAI, will share her insights on AI and wellbeing. The event will be held on Saturday, September 28th, starting from 10:00 at Finse Huis. AI will enable us to increase #productivity, we can now do more and faster in smarter ways than we have ever done before. Our board members, Maarten de Smit, Reetta Ilomäki, and Camilla Mattsson had the privilege of attending a memorable event at Pathé Buitenhof in The Hague, celebrating 100 years of Vereniging Nederland Finland also known as VNF. On Sunday, October 27th, a commemorative plaque was unveiled by the Ambassador of Finland to the Netherlands Ilkka-Pekka Similä and the Mayor of The Hague, Mr. J.H.C. van Zanen, honouring a century of shared history and cultural connection between Finland and the Netherlands.

The Finnish Dutch Chamber of Commerce, Danish Dutch Chamber of Commerce and Norwegian Dutch Chamber of Commerce were delighted to host a Young Professionals Career Event at Wärtsilä Nederland in Schiedam. We had an insightful guest speaker, Professor Benjamin Eckholm from the Hague University of Applied Sciences, who led a discussion about “Standing Out in the Age of AI: Preparing for the Future Job Market”. He explored the impact of AI on universities and the workforce. Some of the topics that were discussed: - AI isn't just chatbots, it's transforming industries globally - By 2025, the global economy will generate 97 million new jobs, especially in hybrid roles where humans and AI collaborate. Are you ready for this change? - To stay competitive, become a master in your field while also learning AI skills, as this combination enhances productivity and makes you irreplaceable - AI can handle routine tasks, allowing you to focus on what you're passionate about. - The future of work is hybrid, and AI tools will facilitate growth Ruth Bugler from Wärtsilä Talent Acquisition team held a presentation about the opportunities for young professionals at Wärtsilä, highlighting the diverse and inclusive work culture and possibilities to grow within the company. She provided valuable tips on how to apply and thrive in a career at Wärtsilä. We are extremely thankful to the Wärtsilä team for hosting this insightful event at their Schiedam office. The Danish Dutch Chamber of Commerce, together with the Finnish Dutch Chamber of Commerce and the Norwegian Dutch Chamber of Commerce will host a Nordic Business Speed Dating event on Thursday October 17, 2024, where you will have the opportunity to present your company and yourself to other participants. The format for this dynamic business speed dating will be a series of 2-minute sessions, where two individuals will sit face-to-face. Participants will then have one minute to showcase their expertise, share insights and make connections. Following each 2-minute session, half of the participants will rotate to the next business date. Details on the exact procedure will be shared after registration. After approximately one hour of business speed dating, we will continue the conversations over drinks and snacks with the opportunity for further networking and relationship building. The 2023 business speed dating was a great success and we can’t wait to organise another networking experience with an engaging and inclusive format.
