This international standard for quality management helps us control and continuously improve our business processes—from sales and purchasing to realization, maintenance, and inspections. 🌅 A Closer Look At The Stunning Hoym Tracking Island! 🌅   We’re thrilled to share some breathtaking images from the recently completed floating tracking system on a gravel lake in Hoym, Germany, in collaboration with JM ProjektInvest GmbH & Co. KG.   The innovative 1.6-megawatt project on a gravel lake in Sachsen-Anhalt is expected to generate around 2.2 gigawatt-hours of solar power per year. ☀️Floating Solar is turning reservoirs into sustainable energy sources— latest research confirms that scaling up floating solar parks can be done safely without compromising water quality! 💧   In a recently completed TKI project, the effects of floating solar islands on reservoirs used for drinking water production were investigated. Together with multiple drinking water companies, we partnered up to explore how solar panels impact water flow and quality. We investigated the project in Andijk (PWN) and other potential future locations at drinking water companies.   The key result? First findings show that even with solar panels on the water, the water remains well-mixed! According to the models, flow patterns change but stratification does not increase, which is crucial for drinking water quality.   🌿 Floating solar parks offer numerous possibilities, including for gravel pits. However, stricter rules apply to drinking water reservoirs. Thanks to this study, we now know more about the potential impact of floating PV on drinking water reservoirs and the unique capabilities of our systems in that regard.   Special thanks to all those involved and our project partners: Evides Waterbedrijf, De Watergroep, KWR Water Research Institute, PWN, WML. 🤝 Sharing innovation with the next generation of change makers at the Universiteit Twente! Last week, we had the pleasure of presenting at a lunch lecture hosted by Study Association Stress, the study association for Industrial Engineering and Management. Around 40 eager students joined us as we explored: "Why and How to Apply Solar Panels on Water – The Approach of Floating Solar." Floating PV offers a cutting-edge solution to meet the growing demand for renewable energy, and it was inspiring to see the future leaders of engineering and sustainability so engaged in the discussion.
