FrieslandCampina is a large international dairy company with a cooperative history dating back more than 150 years. The company processes milk into a wide range of dairy products and ingredients. Royal FrieslandCampina N.V. is fully owned by Zuivelcoöperatie FrieslandCampina U.A., with 14,634 dairy farmers in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany as members. Through the cooperative, these member dairy farmers jointly own the company. FrieslandCampina provides consumers with dairy products, such as milk, yoghurt, condensed milk, dairy-based beverages, cheese, butter, quark and cream. The dairy company supplies specific nutrition geared to meet the needs of specific consumer groups, such as children, the elderly and sportspeople. Professional customers, such as bakers, pastry chefs, chocolate confectioners, chefs and caterers can also rely on our broad product range, including creams, butter, desserts and fillings. In addition, the company supplies high-quality ingredients to international food producers and pharmaceutical companies. With 20,928 employees (FTEs) and branches in 29 countries, our products find their way to more than 100 countries worldwide. Our company has an inclusive culture that reflects our heritage. This achievement is a testament to our commitment to responsible sourcing, transparency, and continuous progress in our sustainability journey.     Just opening a new week with the Global Leadership Conference of FrieslandCampina coming up in Amsterdam…..however, I just wanted to come back to the highlights of last week. Starting the week in Munich for private reasons, moving to Budapest to be present at the LEAD Network Global Conference whilst ending the week in Milano to spend some time with the Italian Professional team. Let me highlight the visit in Budapest; the LEAD network is our DE&I partner, dedicated to leading sustainable change in diversity, equity and inclusion. The conference enabled us to connect to 800+ passionate leaders committed to leading sustainable change and participate in the movement towards creating diverse and equitable workforces where everyone can strive. I was there with a group of enthusiastic frontrunners in our company to be inspired and apply best practices back home at RFC. This change is critical to accelerate at RFC and is something I truly believe in. The CEO dinner on Tuesday and the round table on Wednesday triggered great dialogues to discuss progress in this field. I return home with a task to understand even better where we lack driving equality for our organisation. There are so many differences of people that we need to understand in order to build a place where we can all be our best selves. The discussions, made me feel very humble again that we do our best but that we need to do more and faster. Count on my help at RFC! To be continued. Especially in Yucatán, Mexico, this cheese - also known as queso de bola - is an absolute hit! 🤩 On almost every street corner you can buy 'marquesitas', a type of rolled crepe filled with condensed milk, chocolate, fruit and a generous amount of grated El Gallo Azul cheese.

    Last week we have officially opened the innovative HighLift heat pump at our Maasdam plant. 🎉 This marks a major milestone in our efforts to decarbonize our production processes and reduce energy consumption. As Gerrit Westhoff, our Global Supply Chain Sustainability Director, highlighted: "This technology fits perfectly into our strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, helping us reach our target of a 63% reduction by 2030 I our supply chain compared to 2015. By deploying innovative solutions like the HighLift heat pump from Olvondo, we’re cutting energy use with approximately 6% and CO2 emissions by approximately 15% in Maasdam."     📣The South East Asian Nutrition Surveys (SEANUTS II) released new findings, showing that dairy at breakfast is related to improved children's diet quality across Southeast Asia.
