🧪 Science Day 2024: A Celebration of Tech Innovation ⚙️ Today, we’re thrilled to showcase our interactive stand at Science Day 2024 in Delft! Visitors can experience the excitement of the FIRST competition series, with live demos of FIRST Tech Challenge robots, a FIRST LEGO League robot, and a FIRST Robotics Competition robot—demonstrating the journey young engineers can take with FIRST, from beginner to advanced robotics. Kids ages 6-12 have been navigating these robots through exciting challenges with the expert guidance of Stanislas Tech Team, Stanislas Tech Academy and The Flying Dutchman 23014, who’ve been sharing their insights and passion all day. 🚀 Een spannende stap vooruit voor techniekonderwijs! 🚀 Vandaag hebben Zwijsen College, stichting STEAMup (FTC Benelux) en Bedrijf in de Klas officieel de subsidieaanvraag voor het Impuls Open Leermateriaal programma ingediend! 🎉 Met deze aanvraag hopen we een doorlopende robotica-leerlijn te ontwikkelen voor havo- en vwo-leerlingen, die vanaf schooljaar 2025/2026 t/m 2027/2028 techniekonderwijs in Nederland verrijkt.   De leerlijn combineert design thinking, de 7 werelden van techniek en het Bèta&TechMentality-model om leerlingen digitale en technische vaardigheden te leren in een maatschappelijke context die aansluit op hun eigen interesses en drijfveren. Door samenwerking met lokale bedrijven wordt de relevantie vergroot, waardoor techniekonderwijs nóg aantrekkelijker wordt!   Uiteindelijk is het materiaal open beschikbaar via Wikiwijs.nl, waardoor alle scholen in Nederland straks kunnen profiteren van dit innovatieve lesmateriaal. Dit project bouwt voort op de kracht van de FIRST® Tech Challenge en brengt de ervaring van robotica en techniek naar een breed publiek. Samen bouwen we aan een generatie die technologie gebruikt om de wereld te verbeteren! 🌍 De eerste beta tester wilde op vrijdag middag nog lang niet naar huis 🙌

🏃➡️While a large part of Eindhoven is running the marathon, FTC teams are busy getting their first robots up and running at the startup event hosted by Summa Engineering 🏃 Today, teams are working hard on their robots, making great use of the resources and equipment available here—tools they may not always have at their schools. But perhaps even more valuable is the chance for teams to connect, collaborate, and inspire one another with their innovative ideas and creations. 🚀 Exciting times at the NVON - Nederlandse Vereniging voor het Onderwijs in de Natuurwetenschappen Bèta & Technologie Festival! We're thrilled to be here representing FTC Benelux to showcase the FIRST Tech Challenge and demonstrate how we’re bringing robotics to classrooms in new and innovative ways. Alongside the competition format, we’re introducing the XRP robot, a low-cost, accessible platform perfect for schools looking to integrate robotics into their curriculum. 📚 Updated VMBO curriculum is now available 📚 The updated Dutch learning modules for the VMBO electives Robotica and Innovation & Prototyping are now accessible on WisMon onderwijsinstituut LEAPO learning platform. After a successful pilot year in 2023-2024, feedback has been thoroughly reviewed and incorporated into these enhanced modules. The improved curriculum offers students a modern, hands-on approach, equipping them with practical skills in technology, robotics, and prototyping. The course material is structured into modules that align seamlessly with specific learning objectives and tasks. Additionally, students have the opportunity to participate in the FIRST Tech Challenge competition, further enriching their learning experience through team collaboration and problem-solving. Thanks to its modular design, the curriculum is also adaptable for use at other educational levels to support participation in the FIRST Tech Challenge competition. Gaaf voorbeeld van de FIRST leerlijn in actie! Leerlingen die elkaar inspireren, enthousiasmeren én nieuwe (technische) skills op doen! Er zijn ook voorbeelden waar dit gebeurd tussen PO en VO; mooie inspiratie voor Techkwadraat Een daadwerkelijk doorlopende leerlijn buiten de standaard onderwijs context waarbij leerlingen zelf buitenschools in de lead zijn.
