The CubeHouse | Start construction of wooden structure We are proud to announce the start of the construction of the wooden structure of The CubeHouse, which will be the first hybrid wooden office building at Amsterdam's Zuidas business district. The approximately 16,360 m² office building will rise on the last plot of the Mahler4 area. With a far-reaching vision of sustainability and the use of wood for the building's skeleton, The CubeHouse responds to the urgent need to reduce CO2 emissions in the construction sector. We are proud of our colleague Samuel Orobio de Castro who was awarded ‘Best Young Talent 2024’ by Stichting Wiechert which aims to encourage young, entrepreneurial, and creative talent in the real estate sector. This year's theme was ‘Back to the Future’, aiming to draw lessons from existing urban and real estate developments for future projects. Samuel examined the Bijlmermeer (Amsterdam) in general – and the Kleiburg Klusflat flat in particular – and gave an inspiring talk about it at the Best Young Talent Event. Kleiburg Klusflat was scheduled for demolition. A consortium stopped the demolition of the original flat by buying the building for the symbolic sum of € 1,- and redeveloped it. Problems resulting from the original design were resolved and the apartments were sold on core- and shells basis, after which residents refurbished the apartments themselves. What was first a candidate for demolition became a vibrant community and an example of successful bottom-up renovation. We congratulate Samuel warmly with this award!

Wonderwoods | Delivery of offices & apartments We are beyond proud that after a construction period of less than four years, Wonderwoods was officially handed over to ASR Dutch Mobility Office Fund and ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund last Wednesday. The 80,000 m² building consists of two towers of 104 and 70 metres high - designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti and MVSA Architects - with one hectare of vertical forest in the heart of Utrecht and combines living, working and leisure in a unique urban setting. Wonderwoods has a total of 14,700 m² of office space, 1,000 m² of restaurant, 1,000 m² of gym,167 owner-occupied apartments and 252 rental apartments in Utrecht's Beurskwartier. It also offers various amenities such as 3,500 m² of catering and sports facilities. It also features a bicycle shed, a parking garage and a mobility hub. The green character of the building and planting are unique characteristics of the project, which features a rooftop park, several interior gardens, three hundred trees and more than 75,000 plants and bushes. Wonderwoods | All offices and gym rented before completion We are excited to announce that even before Wonderwoods' completion, the entire 14,700 square meters of office space and 1,000 square meters of gym have been rented to a total of seven companies. The green office tower – highlighted by a vertical forest of over one hectare and over 80,000 square metres of living and office space – is owned by the #ASRDutchMobilityOfficeFund. Wonderwoods will house a total of seven office tenants after completion. In the tower designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti, SportCity will occupy the second floor with around 1,050 square meters of lettable floor area (LFA). The sports club consciously chose the green, inspiring environment offered by the tower. This suits SportCity's focus on physical and mental health. Four new tenants have signed for the offices in the MVSA tower, each for different floors. Sweco, a major player in architecture and engineering consultancy, will house its employees on the sixth and seventh floors, with a total of around 1,352 square meters. Tsavo, which focuses on organising sustainability, will rent approximately 696 square meters on the eighth floor. adesso, a leading IT consultant company, has rented approximately 608 square meters on the ninth floor and Kramp, Europe's largest supplier of parts and accessories for the agricultural sector, will occupy the tenth and eleventh floors, having rented approximately 1,238 square meters for this building. In addition to these new tenants, Henkel, Eurail B.V. and Spaces previously chose Wonderwoods. Henkel, a world leader in consumer products and adhesives, leases office space of over 2,500 square meters Eurail B.V., the company behind the Interrail and Eurail Passes, leases office space of approximately 2,230 square meters on the fifth floor. Spaces, a label of the international IWG has committed for approximately 6,000 square meters on the second and third floors.
