Providing heating for homes, buildings, and industry accounts for roughly 50% of global energy consumption. Heating is, therefore, one of the largest opportunities in the world to decarbonise; transforming Heating Grids unlocks the potential of low-carbon heat sources such as geothermal and waste heat.     We're proud to share that Helen’s heating system is now running live with our Digital Twin!🌿 Helen, one of Europe’s largest #districtheating operators, has made significant progress toward its goal of carbon neutrality by 2030 through its collaboration with Gradyent.     Autumn is off to a great start with our September new joiners 🎉 Shuwei Wang, our new Solutions Engineer, is currently completing his PhD research, focusing on the applications of thermochemical heat storage in the residential sector. In his free time, Shuwei enjoys spending time in the gym or dancing. Philip Backstad, our new Solutions Engineer, has a professional background in data analytics with SaaS based platforms focusing on standardisation and optimisation of the technical onboarding process. In his free time, Philip enjoys playing beach volleyball and video games. Matej Havelka, our new Digital Twin Engineer, graduated in June with a computer science masters degree from TUDelft, with AI specialisation. During his free time, Matej enjoys hiking, spending time outdoors and playing board games. Petter Nissinen, our new Product Marketing & Brand Manager, has worked in the middle of design, marketing and sustainability topics. In his spare time, Petter enjoys a variety of outdoor sports. Valerie van Iersel, our new HR Work Student, is doing her Master's in Strategic HRM at the VU in Amsterdam. In her free time she likes to play hockey and listens to every sports podcast.     We're excited to share that Gradyent has partnered with Iqony, a German district heating company dedicated to decarbonisation and CO2 neutrality 🌿 Iqony is deploying Gradyent's Digital Twin to optimise its heating network in Essen-Süd. The first phase in the implementation of the #DigitalTwin will focus on scenario analysis with the goal of lowering network temperatures.
