Making sure they live up to their original specifications - Rejected and/or disposable instrumentations and other stainless-steel waste will be collected, decontaminated and melted down in order to recirculate - Products as service: a pay per use concept - Cleaning and sterilizing instrumentation for hospitals - Recycling hospital waste in order to reduce the costs Pay per use: With GreenCycl, renting instrumentation for a procedure is carefree, quick and affordable. 100% convenience. The sets will be delivered sterile and picked up after a procedure. At GreenCycl, you can order the desired instrumentation or instrumentation sets online. These orders will be composed, cleaned, packed, sterilized and ready for use before they are shipped out to you. After using the sets and instrumentation, GreenCycl will collect the used sets. According to the principle ‘Pay per Use & Shared Costs’, investments in instrumentation are no longer needed. You will know what the costs are per procedure. Sustainablity and circularity are key. We are the first in Europe with a total concept for sustainability in care. The procedure which GreenCycl uses, consists of collecting surgical instruments which are damaged beyond repair, melting them and using the melted down instrumentation as a raw material which will be used for instrumentation nets and new medical parts. Science in waste and circularity in care.

It was a pleasure to conduct this study and to proof that this device will reduce waste.
We have exciting news to share with you! Rijkswaterstaat, the executive agency of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management in the Netherlands have updated their guidelines on hospital waste management (in sector plan LAP3) which now allows the processing of fluids in the operating room through a constantly closed fluid waste management system. A Life Cycle Assessment on the collection and disposal of intra-operative collected fluids using conventional canisters vs. the Neptune 3 system was conducted by GreenCycl, environmental experts specialized in conducting LCAs in the Netherlands. This assessment has been featured in the latest Rijkswaterstaat guidelines. Curious to find out more? In vijf jaar tijd is 100.000 kilo zorgafval gerecycled.

💙🌎🩵🌍 Tim Horeman-Franse Bruno Bruins Jorrit Nicolai, @Conny Methner, Emile van Oorschot Hayke Veldman Jan Carel Dhiel Talitha Hoppe Mariska de Jong Kim Hommel #VerDuurSamen #groenezorggroeneplaneet #greendealduurzamezorg #groenezorgalliantie #duurzamezorg #operatiekamer #plasticocean #refucereducereuserecycle #plasticfree #starttomorrow #startnextmonday #realpreciousplastic #groenezorgalliantie #MPZ #milieuplatformzorgsector #DeGroeneIC #DeGroeneOK #DeGroeneSEH #DeGroeneHuisarts #DeDuurzameVerpleegkundige #GreenDealSamenWerkenAanDuurzameZorg #DeKlimaatdokter #DatMoetVanTalitha

As 9th teaser for our upcoming GreenCycl Lustrum Symposium, Tim Horeman-Franse and I decided to publish one of the banner-poster submissions every day. This poster from Koen Schouten et al shows a development of a compliant bi-stable mechanism. In laparoscopic surgery, excessive grasping force can lead to tissue trauma when handling delicate or soft tissues. A mechanism was integrated into the handle of the laparoscopic grasper to limit the maximum grasping force. Our additional focus with respect to the materials applied is to use medical waste as input for new components. Blue wrap was used, melted and granulated and successfully injection molded to make handles for these type of instruments. In earlier studies (https://lnkd.in/eraUJjmT) we demonstrated that the mechanical behavior of reprocessed blue wrap is sufficient to use as circular material when making new medical devices. This is where Dutch technology embraces sustainability goals with long-lasting materials, reducing medical waste streams. Presented Friday on the GreenCycl Symposium (The symposium is full, please do not mail us anymore, we will make video recordings available). #TUDelft #GreenDeal #sustainable #samenvooruitincirculariteit #recycling #circulaireeconomie #duurzaamheid #circulareconomy #circulair #circulaireeconomie #sustainable #duurzaam #duurzamezorg #sustainablehealthcare #healthcare #healthinnovations #medtech GreenCycl Bart van Straten Tim Horeman-Franse TU Delft | Mechanical Engineering #tudelftmechanicalengineering

As 8th teaser for our upcoming GreenCycl Lustrum Symposium, Tim Horeman-Franse and I decided to publish one of the banner-poster submissions every day. This poster from J. Greve et al shows a comprehensive analysis of technical learning curves in a multi-center three-year interventional study. A study with 100 junior surgical residents from Amsterdam UMC and affiliated hospitals compared standard versus personalized laparoscopic training. An environmental sustainable approach was used: No plastic packaging, focus on reusable components and improving proficiency skills in surgery. This is where Dutch technology embraces sustainability goals with long-lasting materials, reducing medical waste streams. Presented Friday on the GreenCycl Symposium (The symposium is full, please do not mail us anymore, we will make video recordings available). #TUDelft #GreenDeal #sustainable #samenvooruitincirculariteit #recycling #circulaireeconomie #duurzaamheid #circulareconomy #circulair #circulaireeconomie #sustainable #duurzaam #duurzamezorg #sustainablehealthcare #healthcare #healthinnovations #medtech GreenCycl Bart van Straten Tim Horeman-Franse TU Delft | Mechanical Engineering Amsterdam UMC #tudelftmechanicalengineering
